What a wonderful human being; humble, so talented, and a joy to listen to.
Terrific interview of a terrific guy, with a terrific story. Bravo
Timothy B Schmidt is a class act!! He's such a humble human being
Schmit no 'd'
Absolutely
Just don't make em like they used to. GODSPEED 💥♥️🖖
I Can't Tell You Why is my favorite Eagles song.
Incredible dude! I always thought he was the cutest, still is, and what a decent kind person. Keep on rockin Timothy!
Thanks for your love and support ♥️❤️
Such a wonderful singer, and musician, but even better person. Such an humble, down to earth guy. One of my all time favorites.
I worked for Starlight Limousine company in Los Angeles and the Eagles were one of our accounts. I had the good fortune of driving Timothy from his home in the hills to LAX right after he joined the Eagles. In our brief conversation during the drive he could not have been more gracious to me and grateful to have become a member of the band. He really is a true gentleman.
Did he give you a nice Tip ?
@@juniorjohnson5961 They always gave us 20 percent.

Timothy B Schmit...Your performance of "I can't tell you why 1979" was (to me) like the Arnold Schwarzenegger of Olympia posing! You hit it perfect! No one could come close!
Such a nice person, I loved him with poco! Glad he beat cancer. I’ve been battling for 2 years done with all my treatments, just waiting to hear the words cancer free !
Hope you hear those words very soon, God bless 🎆
Alma Null, I wish you well.
Timothy is my favorite Eagle! An amazing singer and a wonderful human being!
He was great in Poco.
What a beautiful voice.
He’s beautiful inside and out.
Great to hear from Timothy... Such a class act
I just adore him, he's so humble and real, feels like small hometown guy....... thank you Timothy for all the magic you've made my heart sing..........
Hi i just wanted to thank you again for being so supportive and following me on
my Journey. I love inspiring and encouraging others. People like you help me to keep showing up! Hope you are having an amazing day.
Great player, great singer, good guy!
I just simply love Sir Timothy and his songs he is so great ❤❤❤👍
a thoughtful incredible musician and soul.. thank you!!
He gave my brother Jerry Lopes lead singer of the Patch Work Quilt in the 70,s a huge compliment when he heard jerry singing at the old peoples home his mother stayed in. He walked up to Jerry and said you are one of the most soulful singers ive ever heard. Really nice guy.
Many thanks Uncle Joe for this interview!
Great Man Timothy B Schmidt!! Great man! Thanks for you voice. Keep it us!!
I was always a big fan of Randy Meisner and have never really accepted Timothy's taking his place. But I have to say that Timothy is indeed a class act. When the 7 Eagles were inducted in the HOF Timothy made a point of acknowledging Randy's "paving the way" for him. Good guy, Timothy.
Couldn't care less about the other guy, all I remember is Timothy. And, he's perfect.
Ruby has
@@Melinda8162 Randy Meisner? You mean you didn't listen to the first five Eagles albums that Randy played on, but only The Long Run that Timothy was on? You have never heard Take It To The Limit? Oh well...
@@davidbergstrom8505 Ruby has....What??
@@BobHunter1977 Of course! I know ALL their songs!
Keep your beautiful voice going. I know, Im 69 yrs old, enjoyed you in Poco (just for me & you)always a fan.

Few can sing like Timothy B...
Lovely Man💚
What a great guy.
awesome interview timothy!
Thanks for the interview, Timothy. Everywhere I looked your new album was sold out. Thankfully, it's available from Wonderful Union. Love ya, buddy. Your music is wonderful.
What a nice guy
My first car was a 66 Corvair, loved it.
His a good singers. I like his songs 👍

Great guy!!
My first car was also a Corvair. And a stick as well. I nad/have a huge crush on Timothy B. Schmidt.
My favorite Eagle out of all of them.
Love him so much
Thanks for your love and support ♥️❤️
A handful of times each year... someone from the audience will walk up to the stage and request 'I Can't Tell You Why' for my cover band to perform. I've always loved that song-- killer vocals from TBS. This is the year we do it. 3 weeks from today it'll be on our set list. 😎🎸👍
A Corvair was the first car I drove as well! Bought it off some drunk guy for $35. Dad made me take it back. Timothy B. Schmidt is a hell of a talent. GREAT voice!
Of all the topics that could be discussed, he talks about, by all available evidence, the biggest jerk in the Eagles. And Timothy makes him sound nice. Timothy is the class act personified.
I had a friend who had a 62 Corvair and I drove it alot....sweet ride and lots of fun in the back seat.
Timothy B. Schmidt is HOTT!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
..still hot
Thanks for your love and support ♥️❤️
Tim is a really cool guy. I own the Farewell 1 DVD set, and his part where he says hi to the crowd is hilarious. I see you over there and you over there ...mind you I had a few beers while watching but he is still a funny guy and awesome bass player/vocalist.
Saw The New Breed which a young Timothy Schmidt was in at Sacramento Auditorium in the mid sixties. There regional hits were Green Eyed Women and I've Been Wrong Before.
I bought the New Breeds re-issue of this album on CD about 20 years ago at least that
I still play . This concert at the Sacramento Auditorium was my first date in seventh grade
and my mom dropped us off at the Auditorium downtown as we were going to see the new hit Duo Sonny and Cher !! I Got You Babe !
You forgot .......they became GLAD then ultimately REDWING prior to Schmidt leaving, in concert he does not seem to be proud of his Sacramento roots .... Phillips, Hullin, Schmidt et al played our high school dances ....
There's a video of Green Eyed Woman on RUclips.
I’m a big fan of Timmy. He’s a sweet man. I, also, owned a ‘63 Corvair .... my daughter called it a “Corvetta”.
Thanks Tim.your a great a set to the eagles.I would love to sing with them.I do sing well.and play rythem guitar.also write.songs. just never got started in the music business. Good luck to you and god bless.
Young voice.
Oh my goodness...a '63 Chevy corvair was the first car I ever drove as well..white with red interior. I loved that car!
Thanks for your love and support ♥️❤️
Very beautiful man. I find Timothy, John Taylor of Duran Duran and Roger Taylor of Queen as very beautiful guys. They are cute, baby faced, simply pretty guys
interviewer: why u join eagles?
timothy: I can't tell you why
LOL
In one of the biographies of the band it said that when Glenn Frey offered the job to him Timothy said "now I will finally be making some good money". Poco had never really hit it big; with the Eagles Timothy became a millionaire. So there's that.
The two original Eagles that had quit - Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner - never wanted the fame and fortune the band had achieved. Don and Glenn sure as hell did! And so when Bernie and Randy left they made sure when they hired replacements they were explicit about what the deal was: do what we say, don't rock the boat, and you will be rich beyond your wildest dreams. That suited Timothy and Joe just fine. But not Don Felder! By contract he was an equal partner and he wouldn't quit like Bernie and Randy had and he wouldn't let Henley and Frey become dictators ( or "the Gods" as he refers to them in his book ). And we all know the ugliness that followed.
Much as I like Timothy ( and I was always a huge Joe Walsh fan, going back to his James Gang days ) it was disturbing to read in Felder's book how they "unfriended" him when Henley and Frey fired him. Very clearly Timothy and Joe were under orders from above, and they obeyed. And still do to this day. Which is a real pity, because what's left of this band ought to do one last show or even a tour with Felder back and maybe even Bernie ( Randy is too far gone even to come out of his house, at least so I've heard ).
Great interview questions! And bring it on Stevie Wonder !!
He replaced Randy Meisner. They were friends already having been in another band together. Kool thing Tim did was acknowledge Randy during the Eagles Rock n Roll Hall of Fame induction. Randy was onstage at the acceptance also but I'm sure if Frey and Henley could have blocked Randy being there they would have. Even today when playing Take It To The Limit, Don Henley doesn't mention Randy, who was the initial composer of the song and Glen and Don helped to complete it. Nobody sings Take It To The Limit better than Randy, never has or will.
Saw him with one of the first times he played with Poco at The Golden Bear
in Huntington Beach CA. I believe he must have been 18 or so and the venue was
incredibly small (200 or so). Anyone remember The Bear?
God yes! Saw some unbelievable times and acts at the Bear. Best of times.
1968 Ford Fairlane 🧐 289 I think? First car was a 1963 Ford Falcon....beautiful it had primer on every panel and most fenders! It was one of the best time of my life....my girlfriend a job and and the first taste of a little freedom! Don’t have the car anymore but I still have that Girlfriend now my wife of 45 years!
Kinda disappointed Tim did not mention my name when asked who to sing with :( It's weird to hear him say "He is one of the greats." When talking about someone playing the bass. HE is one of the greats!
You said the Eagles and Poco but you forgot the New Breed.
Schmitt played with Poco for about 20 years, but all they wanna talk about is the 3 or 4 years with the Eagles. The Eagles were famous for stealing people from Poco. Bernie Leadon, Tim Meisner, and Schmitt.
I loved that song by Barrett Strong - MONEY
so sad glen died tim is a great guy
"Well that's good. We tricked you."
His first car? What difference could that possibly make?
What u think about Bon Jovi. God his great the bestest ever.

He stole the Ed Mcmahon laugh
“You’re a cancer survivor and we were very surprised when Glenn passed away.” Huh? 😂 What do the two have to do with the other? The Covair, as Ralph Nader wrote in his iconic book, was “unsafe at any speed.”
歲月無情催人...me too
Actually Schmit isn't an offical member of the Eagles. He's just a paid musician. Same goes for Joe Walsh. I'll always see him as an Eagle but he's not paid like one.
When they kicked Leader out, they changed their name from The Eagles to The Egos.
STFU nobody asked
Timothy is an official member of the Eagles band.
You are referring to Eagles Ltd which refers as a full partner in the financial aspect.
Felder is still a full partner of Eagles Ltd but Felder is no longer an official member of the Eagles band and never will be again!
TBS is a cool cat. Interviewer is a bit obnoxious.
What?
He’s a gutless yes man.
