    Hey guys! This was great! Our family is planning a trip to Six Flags next week and I had not been there since the late 90s, though I had been there many times before. You all gave the perfect tour for me! You remembered all the things I did and explained the changes. You have me feeling much more prepared. Now, if you could just send some of that cool weather your video had, it's supposed to be 100 when we are there. 😂 Thanks for a great tour!

    Six Flags name has nothing to do with the worlds fair. Six flags started in the state of Texas and the six flags represents the six countries and dissolved countries that once ruled/ owned Texas…This order: 1. Spain 2. France 3. Mexico 4. Republic of Texas (when Texas was it’s own country) 5. Confederacy ( during the civil war) 6. The United States. The first six flags was six flags over Texas in Dallas, TX and then they built the one in Georgia and finally the one in St. Luis. All other six flags parks after that were acquired. While I praise St. Luis for being proud of hosting the worlds fair Six Flags got its start in the Lone Star state.

    They do sell an assortment of Dole Whip flavors at Pineapple Pete’s, located in Hurricane Harbor.

    Nice walkthrough. I dug out some old park maps to compare to the new one online (1974, 80 and 89). Only a few rides left from the old '74 map. Did you know the Runaway Mine Train had a front and back track? And was THE coaster till the Eagle was built in '76. The front track was removed for the Ninja. The back track was the best anyway. Glad to see the old Log Flume is still there. The Justice League ride started as Injun Joes Cave, a Tom Sawyer themed boat ride. (It's been many different things over the years.) Nostalgia is hitting hard. Thanks for the tour.

      The River King Mine Trains second track was removed in the late 80s and was sent to Dolly Wood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee where it ran for 10 seasons until it was relocated yet again to a park named Magic Springs, located in Hot Springs, Arkansas, It was rebuilt and given the name “Big Bad John” where it still operates to this very day…

    That big wooden fence where the Moon Cars were, there's nothing behind it, but the rumors going around is they're going to build a haunted house that's supposed to be open all year. I'll believe it when I see it.

      @TheDisneyRabbitHole  2 года назад

      Oh wow! A year-round haunted would be so cool! I remember when Universal Studios Hollywood had a year-round haunted house called, "Universal's House of Horrors" that operated until 2014. That attraction scared the wits out of me every single time I walked through it. Thanks so much for watching, and thanks for your comment :)

    I remember when the Joker was brand new and called the Buccaneer. Many, many years ago! We used to go there when I was growing up and then I took my kids there as they grew up. Good memories. Haven’t been since probably 2010 so it was fun seeing what it’s like now. The rides that are no longer there and the new ones.

    4:28 Fun Fact. Batman at Great America (which is located in the next door state in illinois) was the first inverted looping coaster.

    I've gone here so many times grew up going here since i was a little girl. It's also my hometown theme park I haven't been since 2018. I'm most likely going back when fall gets here. the mine train was the very first roller coaster I ever did.
