@@AliWall true, it would not take much to make it safer, change out all the wonky wiring, add at least a fusible resistor, heat shrink the dropper board, and glue the Edison base on the unit. The exposed aluminum circuit boards on the back of the fan petals made me chuckle.

I don't think I would want that with the shabby wiring inside. Main's voltage devices that are made in China on the cheap are scary.
