It was sufficient for me to convert the AC voltage to DC using a diode bridge, and since the output reached around 300 volts, I had to connect the 12V LEDs in series to operate them with this voltage.

Touching leds while its powered on may cause electrocution due to voltage differences between diifferent points. Do not use this at home. Nice content.
BIG MISTRAKE! no resistor to limit the inrush current - good way to burn out the LEDS!!!
The small boards do have resistors I think.
@@Kogacarlo the strips have - you are right, but they are designed to work at the normal rated voltage. They do little at a turn-on surge

But each piece barely has 10v on its terminals at ordinary 220v operation, how can they be able to draw more current as long as the voltage doesn't rise above 10v/piece?
@@yousufnofal9223 315 / 27 = 11,7 V. But I don't know how the voltage per strip will behave when you put these strips in series. My knowledge is too little.

Simply the voltage is devided among them and the current is the same as if there is one strip connected, but the bridge doesn't output 327v, it rather outputs about 290v instead

1. First the circuit is more dangerous that you think; there is no fuse and the wrong type of cap is used [it should be a X type].
2. Consider the strip itself. It has a direct connection [the power diodes dont count for anything] to the live Mains. For a standard interior strip there is that connection along the traces and leads - including the exposed tracks at the end.
3. Anyone touching the traces, leads, exposed ends and is grounded will be shocked. At up to 100mA it can be fatal.
4. This threat is expanded if the strip is resting on/touching a metal or damp surface. Imagine using it in the bathroom and an exposed part touches a damp wall - touching the wall where it is damp is a really bad thing.

Hi, good idea this other use of LED in 12V on 220V, however the support you show made in 3D printing I can not find the link in the description, can you tell me where I can possibly find it, not necessarily to redo this electrical assembly with these electronic components to rectify the 220V (I don't have any diodes at home and for the moment I don't have enough use for them to buy a batch, which is more interesting in terms of price, but you still need to have the use for them). On the other hand, your support can be used for 12V LEDs powered by 12V, so I might be interested in printing it to make another type of lighting.
A 1 Amp 1000 PIV diode bridge is cheap. But this is a very bad design and is dangerous
At his home is 292V not 220V. So he did 27 strips and on each strip he had about 10V. On 220V outlet you would need 19 strips connected in series to have about 12V on each strip.
