The irony is, when I first heard the actual Creeping man story, I thought right there that it was better suited to science fiction then Sherlock Holmes. Here it's both.
The original story was basically one of the few bit of the larger than life rocambolesque (French word for incredible named after French pulp character Rocambole)-like elements found in pulp stories at the time that slipped into Sherlock Holmes canon.
*sniff* i used to watch this show on qubo at 4 YEARS OLD and now I'm 11 *sigh* hehe.......time really flys by when you can't go outdoors......even at 4 my parents wouldn't let me out well it wasn't all the time heck none of us can get outside because of the corona virus
In the Sherlock Holmes book It was the old man who use the potion on himself for Alice and she turned down the engagement. And there's was a family dog that attacks the old man when he went all ape.
it s Sherlock holmes who turned that iron fire stick thing (sorry don't remember the real name of it) back to normal in the book. in spickel band story. in the book it's Dr roilot. and I saw it in JB granada tv. it shows how powerful sherlock holmes is. I feel sad because they didn't add that part in here
Why couldn't have they just made him a cousin of Edith who was closer to Alice's age? They could still use the conflict of the possibility that Alice just wanted money but this way it could be possible not totally likely. I mean this woman looks like she's in her 20s and she's marrying an old man. What else is the audience supposed to think?
What did you want them to do? It's not like they threw him on the streets or something. They're not going to change their lives and forego their happiness the pay a debt. You shouldn't be with someone because you over him.
Didn’t they say that Alice and Trevor were dating before the accident. So Trevor get horribly disfigured and Alice dumps him then goes out with the professor. Yeah the daughter is right she is a shallow bitch that’s after his money
@@IrishKatana Exactly, that makes it super messed up. I'm rooting for Trevor's revenge. He saves their lives and they turn him into their lifelong servant
I feel like it might have made a better twist to have Alice be the guilty party. She probably couldn't kill himin a kids show. So they could have had her use some hypnosis drug to get the professor to give her money and then she could leave him on the reason of his anger issues scaring her. No one would suspect her as she's his fiance and get leaving because of his issues would make sense so she could get money and not have to marry an old man.
poor Trevor. Alice choosing that old prof over him. What dose she see in the old man and not be with Trevor? Trevor is better looking than the old guy.
+Bianca Grottolo And is old enough to be her father. Trevor was handsome, heroic, and very clever. But an unrequited love drove him too far. Seriously, I'm not happy with this ending.
I don't like Lestrade became so impersonal at the end. "You're friend will recieve the help he needs," Isn't he her friend also? She's friends with them all that's why she was there in the first place.
@@asrieldreemurr1988 it's just me nitpicking. In the UK, we say "You do not have to say anything". Lestrade would have learnt that at Hendon Police College
keep in mind in this show it takes place in 2103..... who knows what england will be like by the 22nd century. it's already changed so much now if you were to take a brit from 40-50 years ago they would not recognize it. i'm surprised as to in the show how they could make sherlock holmes acclimate to hte 22nd century so fast. sherlock holmes would've been dead by the 1930s most likely. he died 169 years before the first episode even takes place.
This old man is marrying a woman that's probably the same age as his daughter and the daughter and Trevor are the only people who think she just wants the money. Speaking of Trevor, if he discovered how to turn people into animals then why doesn't he show that stuff to the public and get rich. Hell, he could show it to Alice and show that he's gonna be crazy rich and she'd probably cancel the wedding and go to him. Two rich guys to choose from except one is an old man and the other a young and attractive man. I think I'd choose the latter.
Lol x) It was funny when Lestrade was peacefully eating cookies while Holmes was struggling with that King Kong)))
Love watching these old cartoons they just don’t make them like they used to anymore. Enjoyed.
The face plate on the left side of Trevor's face does have good resemblance to to the Phantom of the Opera's mask.
exactly
when trevor first appeared the first thing that popped into my head was "he's there, the phantom of the opera."

Wild twists & turns. And what a wedding.
Watson was right in that he should've stuck w/Sherlock. That was close. 0.0
Good ep!

It was in Granada's Sherlock Holmes series. The one with Jeremy Brett.

Trevor couldve just sat in his chair and tried agen later but NOOOOO attacks him and explains his motive and plans -____-
Bad guys are never the smartest.
Det Mstr most of them

I actually remember this episode... a few seconds of the intro at least.
Lol Lestrade never wears civilian clothes, even off-duty? XD
Luv4TajhanB No. If she did, the budget would have to go up. I presume DiC did not want to persue the extra costs.
She just likes flexing that she’s a police officer

I agree. They could've thrown in another theory that Alice wants the professor's money by marrying him.
Yeah just can't really bring myself to be on board with a marriage in which the man is old enough to be the woman's father.
Jacob G at least it’s not straight up pedo (this one didn’t read right)
More like her grandfather! 😹
She's probably one of those weird girls who are into men older than her. Maybe she has some creepy daddy issues.
i mean, i’d be pretty pissed off and suspicious too if my dad was marrying my best friend who’s the same age as me
Be grateful tjis time the friend really loved her father.
Id be Hella sussed out fr
So trevor saves alice and the professor's miserable lives and they go and get engaged and eff trevor. F both of them.

actually, it never was stated that she was friends with the cyborg. it don't mean she isn't, but it was stated she was friends with the two women.
I love the fact that the officiant is a robot
was the sound copyrighted?
Is it me, or is that Trevor guy a lot like the Phantom of the Opera?

That would've been an interesting twist.
Is anyone here a sherlock holmes fan
I am
Yes
me I am!
Who would be watching these and not be
Exelent..
15:11 Jeez, is that what their chaplains look like in the future? Deus vult, infidel!
Wouldnt be cool if Sherlock became a werewolf for an episode?! All because of DNA!

yes but the old man had a golden heart

Who is doctor watson
Game is afoot
Doctor Watson as in Doctor John Watson. Sherlock Holmes friend/companion.
Brick Studios More like a brother who has your back.
"You have the right to remain silent" .......once again Lestrade's NYPD blue attitude has ruined the good british nature of sherlock

John Barrowman is british American after all
