      They should just build a desalination plant in the part of Mexico under Arizona and sell the water at cost.
      That would lead to excess commercially worthless salt, just dry it out and seal it in plastic.

      They can absolutely start desalination plants tomorrow if they felt like it so let's get real listening to this guy who's supposed to be educated talk about how it's their fault that they're not meeting the treaty knowing that this drought is historic and with the ocean right there it's ridiculous we should have been doing this decades ago. This is what's so frustrating. And most of us buy inexpensive food from Mexico as one of our biggest trading partners and this is the same group that b****** about migrant labor without realizing how the food even gets to their table could you imagine being out there in that heat with no shade and bugs and pesticides bent over picking food all day long for little appreciation or money. People act like with 4% unemployment that their kid is going to get off the couch and pick their food. It's ridiculous I remember when the GOP used to hate on Obama for stopping our migrant labor because they knew just how vital they were to our communities being able to afford food but now if we're going to be stuck on huh I wonder how we can get out of this and not doing something about it is the most frustrating thing ever. Trying to turn stuff into a culture wars cutting off your nose to spite your face. I mean with the infrastructure bill I would think that there should be companies being encouraged to start desalination plants we should be Manufacturing the setup so that other nations can utilize it as well. I mean it's not that hard in the scheme of things

      @wisdomsleuth77777 18 дней назад

      @@guru47piI completely agree we are too smart to not be trying everything I still see Farmers watering before the sun goes down and I literally watch it evaporate it's almost scalding to the plants because of the difference in temperature the radiant heat is what the problem is just like the almond trees that were utilizing so much water out in California they finally had to cut them all down because of it it's going to take a lot longer now to refill those aquifers because of the evaporation that has been happening for the last decade or so it's gotten worse crops do not retain the moisture like they used to

These are the same people that pay into the communities where they travel when they're doing seasonal harvesting you know you have to follow crops. But you probably don't know that. You should have been watching Fox News when Obama was President though they talked about it all the time how they contributed even to Social Security without drawing on it so it would buffer it for the rest of us how they were vital to these farming communities because as they stayed there they paid money just like tourists to a vacation state they also knew and it's still true to the day that they commit fewer crimes than citizens all of that is a Google away. You don't have to take my word for it by the way crime is also at a 50-year record low

Or just building a levy system like the Netherlands to extract land space for more fertile ground or just have a series of huge reservoirs next to the main desalination area. That fill them up.

    Mexico is in the process of building Desalter plants. That way they can solve the water shortage. Also I would say Mexico cut off the water flow. Mexico owes nothing to the USA. Mexico has provided so much for the USA and yet they are always treated badly and taken advantage of. the hell with the USA. That’s your water Mexico take care of your country and people. Also the amount of water being overly excessively used by foreign companies that are farming in Arizona and exporting all the crops overseas. So that being said it’s the U.S. own fault for letting that happen.

    CBS. Look at a map. At 0:39 your graphic shows Mexican states of Baja California and Chihuahua while you say "Mexican states are heavily reliant on water from the American side of the Colorado river. Texas has a river they call the Colorado river and it is the longest river contained within a single state in the United States. (Maybe the river reminded a Texan of a Colorado river he had seen where?) It's river basin lies entirely within the state of Texas and none of it's tributaries pass through Mexican land nor is a Mexican practicing poor agricultural methods when an American could be doing it instead with Texas Colorado River water. Texas' Colorado river empties into the Gulf of Mexico at Matagorda Bay, midway along the Texas Gulf Coast between Louisiana state line and the mouth of the Rio Grande at US-Mexico border. And the Rio Grande is fed by tributary rivers in Mexico more than by tributaries in the United States. Laughable trying to claim indignant high ground here, but you did your best. Like the problems with Colorado river basin water allocation here in Southern Nevada, this Texas-Mexican water divide is unworkable with no expectation of water resource returning to the levels routine at their early 20th century penning. And don't say drought and climate change together or your adventurous FOX viewers might get back under their covers. That brainwashing only a couple generations passing will erase.

    I can only imagine the conversation between the two countries 😂
    Texas (USA): "Hey Mexico, we need more water. Send it over now, or else."
    Mexico: "Are you kidding? You stole Texas from me-get your own damn water!"
    Texas (USA): "If you don’t send the water, we'll turn the media against you, claiming the cartels are kidnapping Americans and demanding water as ransom because of your extreme drought."
    Mexico: "Not the media, please! Fine, here’s your water."
    Texas: "What a lovely neighbor! Thank you."
    The End:Everyone’s happy... or so we think.

    Here's the thing if we don't start concerning ourselves with climate change because we want to ignore where our water comes from and how it gets into the water table if it's too hot it evaporates too quickly. Now it's also the time to start using technology to desalination plants so that we can have water. It's absolutely ridiculous that states surrounded by the ocean cannot do something proactive when it is absolutely essential for life and the food we eat. Technology is a great thing if you bother to use it
