The Single is so amazing! He drives it beautifully, other drivers seemed to struggle with it at the GCR and the Cavalcade.
he probably knew how get the power on to the track
so she had to be driven with a driver with a gentle hand
Excellent documentary, he even pronounced the ‘h’ in every wheel 😁
i've been looking for this everywhere. beautiful footage of the stirling single.
Fantastic video, all done without the need of a so-called celebrity just done by someone who knows what he's talking about they just don't make documentaries like that anymore. Great film of the Midland Compound and LNWR Precedent. Thank you.
they don't, but they ought to. Those engines need to steam again.
10:05 Stirling Single No.1's Whistle
What was the name of this program?? It's well done and has great footage of engines we wont see the likes of running again.
Can we have Columbine back at the NRM some day? If not, I'd love to see Lion in service.
The year of this documentary?
Probably 1974 somewhere.
Set the pause up for 15:57 and see the Roman numerals saying ...1984.
What year is this from?
