    Two favorite things. Watching the littles standing/laying on the moms. I love when the mom stands and baby remains standing and the other thing is watching them hop. ❤️

    I'm always impressed by the sense of community that exists in the farming community. I have seen it many times on agricultural channels that I watch. Someone inneed and all the neighbors show up asking nothing in return.

    Your sheep being able to thrive in close quarters and producing so many lambs is a credit to your operation. While you may not have the answers regarding your rations, if animal health, lamb vigor and extra work being avoided is given a dollar value, you have to be well ahead. The old saying, a stitch in time saves nine could have been written for your operation just as easily. Maybe you might have a fan to move the warm moisture laden air down to the chimney area. Maybe a redundant grain dryer fan turned on and off. You might be surprised how effective it could be. Merry Xmas to Team Brock

    For years, we had folding up bunk beds in the barn office or we slept on hay bales in sleeping bags. Now with internet / WiFi cameras we can sleep in the house now. Even in late March early April, we can get freezing cold weather. Mama's and the lambkins need to be warm, dry and in the jugs quickly.

    Someone had a good suggestion about a web cam being on constantly so we can check the barn at any time of day or night....Good idea but what would it cost Sandi to operate it...? Any body else got suggestions so we can get our fill of this barn and not have to wait until Sandi is free to edit her vloggmas...I suffer waiting until early afternoon and then I rush to open the RUclips of her’s...I know she is extremely busy and we all have to be patient with her editing...

    • @NancyBryantIdeas
      @NancyBryantIdeas 5 лет назад

      I think it might be possible through the nest cams, but they need time to look into whether that is something they want to do. I need to get content up on my channel too, so being a content creator has its challenges.

    • @Maxygamez
      @Maxygamez 5 лет назад

      There’s also the option of starting a patron so people that want to see the lambs 24/7 can pay a small monthly subscription in order to see that. Since I’d guess they’d have to spend extra on cameras and whatever to keep it running all the time

    • @susanmarsh2856
      @susanmarsh2856 5 лет назад +3

      A constant web cam would need the barn well lit at night. I wonder about the impact this would have on the diurnal/nocturnal natural life rhythms of the flock.To sum up the sheep don’t do much during the night hours.

      @@susanmarsh2856 Thank you that is a very good response. If people want to watch that much they can, and maybe should create their own playlist if the videos. If people comment they have created a channel. There are probably videos out there on how to create your own playlist.

    It's interesting that you don't have to castrate your ram lambs. In Australia if you sell entire ram lambs you will get 50 dollars max. Lambs all have to castrated. We miss out on that extra growth rates that you get leaving them. Cheers Scott

      She also mentioned once that it's okay to leave ram tails. I assume because they're going to the butcher. But nobody where I live will buy rams with tails. Because if you keep them intact for breeders, you risk flystrike, and if you sell for meat, nobody wants to pay "extra" for a fat tail.

We know where to order chocolates for you now! The ration additive sounds hopeful! Our black mottled lamb is on the fake mommy machine!! You need to start a raffle on when lambing will start again.And you pulled on your big girl overalls, once again, to help out a neighbor. Me looking through the narrow lens again, when lambing has ended sit with Mark and access it honestly, to be properly prepared to share the load in the future.
