      ❤❤The very same health reasons that II became enthralled with candle creation. Just the fragrance oils alone are reason enough to get into it but add wicks and wax and you've got 🔥and happiness.

    Hi Allen I would try dissolving the colorant in the water first then adding in the cement. I learned that from upvibes channel 😊also I make resin and I spray a little 91% alcohol in the molds that are tough like that ginkgo mold(I have it too)to release the suction on it. Then I carefully slide it out.. I hope that works. I use that trick on my cement crafts, too

    Thanks for the video! FYI I found a game changer that helped mix that was absolutely great. It’s Russell Hobbs MX3100RDR Retro Style Hand Mixer, 4 Speeds + Turbo Boost. I got it a couple of years ago. It’s hard to find a hand mixer with a very slow speed and this one has one. It has made mixing so much easier with consistent mixing. 😀

    Great work!! I would LOVE to see your paper towel technique and how you did the metallic sheen at the end. Also, I totally hear you on that ginkgo mold - I have it as well. What I started to do (after snapping off so many stems!) is to unmold the leaf portion and then PUSH the stem/nub out (rather than PULL) which controlled the pressure & angle on the stem. That seemed to help me. Also, on the hydrostone, I have a similar disappointment about the acrylic paint! I recently started to use mica glitter to add some shimmer & shine, but actually I am not sure if that's a good idea (is it flammable...?). I guess I'Il find out...

    • @earthglow
      @earthglow  3 месяца назад

      Glad you enjoyed this one! Thanks for your kind words 😊 A small amount of mica should be fine, however you’d definitely want to seal the inside of your vessel after applying it (if it’s just in the batter it likely will not pose any problems).

    Is titanium dioxide safe to use in a vessel that is used for a candle? I read that it shouldn't be exposed to heat.
