Also agree, Petey makes the games playable and enjoyable. I've tried this Style Influencer a few times and couldn't figure out taking the pictures (really, from the entertainment menu??) and how do to that impression thing. Thanks Petey!!
Awe shucks haha thank you. I wish, but currently I don't have early access to anything so I'll always need a little time post release to learn things :).
My 17th Gen was in this career and created the 5 feminine/masculine outfits and they're still showing up on townies on Gen 40! Sometimes my own sims will change into them autonomously as well! Kinda silly.
The Check-in from a park is kinda misleading. It's not an interaction on the phone, you actually need to interview a sim or disciuss an outfit to tick it off. Took me forever to figure it out actually and this is one of my favorite careers. Also, when you create trends there is a chance for Grim to spawn in that trend too which is hilarious!
Usually, you can hover over the task and a tooltip will explain exactly what you need to do. There are a lot of work assignments and aspirational milestone steps like this.
One time I was playing with the Trendsetter branch of this career, and just for lolz I set the fairy costume from Spooky Stuff as a feminine trend. Then one night a vampire showed up to break in and drink my Sim's plasma -- wearing the fairy costume.
Definitely should be sponsored by EA because your videos are so helpful. And what a convenient video this was because I have a sim in college for this job, but I got her in foxbury instead 😅
Such a good career - in general, it's just nice to reskin to reflect several creative fields like magazine editor or fashion designer. If you want to do like a San Myshuno party girl that's a junior fashion editor or maybe you do an Ugly Betty inspired makeover game or maybe your sim is a sustainable designer using the eco lifestyle stuff.
I have never played this career but always wanted to. Thank you for showing this. Had no idea it had so many options. I have the perfect sim who I can put in this career once she graduates high school.
Also, if you need to level up a skill, you can use the "Career" section on the phone and sit in on the skill class of your choice, during daytime hours Monday through Friday. This has helped a lot of my Sims!
Despite having done this career before, I didn't know any of this. My Sim went to college and started at level 8, missing all the fun along the way. I need to start from the bottom next time!
This is a fun career. I had a teen sim who started off doing trendi in high school for extra $ and she moved to San Myshuno when she graduated and became a trendsetter.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I was getting really annoyed trying to take three photos for the daily and it never accepted them never knowing they were under the "entertainment" section. Thank you for this piece of information.
Check in at a Park and talk to someone about fashion will complete the daily task. Has to be a park in spite of the tool tip saying otherwise. Hope this helps.
It’s been a while since I last played with this career but I think to complete the „check-in at park“ interaction, you need to socialise with other sims! I don’t remember the exact types of interactions necessary, but that has always worked for me. I definitely think the task is phrased misleadingly though
I haven’t played this career in a long time, but I thought the check in option was under social? Maybe I’m making that up. Now you’ve inspired me to play this career and find out for sure!
Your videos are always so well done. I enjoy these careers because, although you have to increase 4 skills, all of them can potentially make you extra money. I need to remember to just read books for the photography skill! It’ll keep my screenshots folder from filling up. Have an amazing day and I hope you enjoyed your weekend! 😃
I’ve always wanted to do this career but haven’t because I didn’t know how interesting it would be. I’ve started a new save file for doing careers that I haven’t done yet. Thanks to you I might actually try it out.
Those lot traits, by themselves, improve your skill gain, and make it easier for your Sims to get in the appropriate mood. Natural light tend to make your Sims inspired, and Convivial make it easier to get confident. Work hard increase the risk of a burnout. Use with care.
Style influencers can also make money off of trendi and plopsy if both high school years and nifty knitting stuff is installed. Because of this I usually make my style influencers require the same skill level in both charisma and knitting to get promotions. Also in order to get promoted in the later levels only 2 of the four promotion tasks are required. Reminding us about Bianca Black, well she is a style influencer who has trained people like Ash Harjo to be a style influencer themselves…
Ooh such a great added tip! Most definitely Trendi and Plopsy make for excellent ways to extend the style influencer gameplay :). Thanks so much for sharing!
This was the first career I ever tried back when I first played The Sims 4. It feels like forever since I first got it, but it's only been a little over 3 years.
So far, I found on a thread about Signing in at Park may not work on custom made parks, try your own home world park & not a National Park either. Then whilst at the park try different fashion interactions like discuss fashion and see if this helps tick it off i myself still have to test this out as well but good luck let us know if this works for you! 😅😅
EA should be paying you for these and we should have these videos on release (or earlier) for each pack. Thanks for the video.
Agreed!!! :D Petey is doing essentially what EA and Maxis should be doing in their livestreams, trailers and updates!!
Also agree, Petey makes the games playable and enjoyable. I've tried this Style Influencer a few times and couldn't figure out taking the pictures (really, from the entertainment menu??) and how do to that impression thing. Thanks Petey!!

I recently have a spellcaster in my game who got the night wraith curse and the wraith was wearing the style created by my style influencer sims😂
😂😭😭
Low key this is iconic! ahahaa
I hope you got some pictures - that's awesome.
My 17th Gen was in this career and created the 5 feminine/masculine outfits and they're still showing up on townies on Gen 40! Sometimes my own sims will change into them autonomously as well! Kinda silly.
I'm impressed you were able to stick with a legacy that long, geez
FORTY????
How… my gosh…
Wow, that’s impressive!! I was happy that I’d managed to get to gen 7 before I ran out of ideas for it.
@@SageArdor I get kind of obsessive. Another save feels so "empty." HAHA

Omg thank you so much for this hot tip Sabrina! You have saved the day with your knowledge!! Thanks again for sharing :D.

Obsessed! love all of the chaotic energy involved in this ahahaha!

love this career!!! it makes me live out my dreams of being a magazine editor for a fashion magazine

This is just what I needed! I’ve never played with the style influencer career so watching this is quite helpful!

As always your helpful guidance makes the Sims so much fun🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much OddCreature for the lovely comment! Really appreciate it! :D

And later she became a grandmother when her son’s girlfriend became pregnant

Watching 9 mins after the drop 😂
Recommendations have Sims Fashion Week and MODEL FASHION RUNWAYS.
I always make my creative sims style influencers as they can make a ton of money publishing style columns.
