I never owned a quilt and quite honestly thought who needs it, sworn sleeping bag believer. Not any more, I thought okay let me try a quilt everyone brags about them but they are so freaking expensive, that is until I crossed paths with this. I’m a hot sleeper so I needed something a bit cooler for these warmer days coming. I can tell you not only do I believe quilts are the way to go this particular one is a winner and I didn’t have to sell my body to get it. I’d encourage anyone that’s doubtful about quilts, give this a shot because it will not disappoint. I’ve been in 30 degrees with it while just in underwear and aside from occasional drafts that can be eliminated by a tuck here or there this quilt rocks! I did get the wide long as I’m 6’+ and a side sleeper that tosses throughout the night, I’m so glad I ventured to it! Win, win!
I love the beanie look, and think that the idea of reviews on location are cool. And your outtake at the end made me laugh pretty good. Keep up the good work!
Just looked up this Cool online and it seems to be 219 for the regular and 229 for the bigger one. It's not a whole lot more money, but it is at the same time. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
Good review and similar to my own experience! I used a Moondance 25 quilt during a trip to the Minnesota Boundary Waters last June. It never got below about 50 degrees so I didn't really test the temperature limits, but it packs up great, lofts well and did just fine with all the changes in humidity / condensation levels alternating between drier and soggier campsites. Quite happy with the purchase.
Just wanted to share my experience. I just went on my first pack in hunting trip into a wilderness area in California. I’m 57 and have a desk job so I’m not exactly fit so I only went in 3 miles and stayed four days. I have had this quilt for about a year and have used it truck camping and loved it. Sorry hit the wrong button. These were summer trips with lows in the 40s. This trip was the end of October at 7,000 feet with lows in the low 20s. I slept with a light pair of sweats, a t shirt and sweatshirt. I was perfectly comfortable and the only change I would try would be to use the pad straps which mine did not come with. Definitely would recommend this to anyone who isn’t made of money like myself.
Mine is out for delivery, I live in the UK near Sherwood Forest and being English, the humidity rarely drops Below 70 percent and that's when it's not raining and 100 percent humidity. The reason it me so long to change to down sleep systems, is the performance of down when moist. When I saw the Downtech hydrophobic application and the decent price - plus extra wide and long size option for my 6'6 self. I snapped it up. Its replacing my overkill, 2.2kg British army synthetic sleeping bag which is good to minus 20 on its own. I don't need that temperature rating and to save well over a kg on just one item is massive for me. Intend on using this as a 4 season quilt. In the winter I'll just grab my Snugpak jungle blanket to use as a liner and should be good to minus 10 Easy, looking forward to trying it out asap
Pecos Wilderness. Dude, that's my stomping ground. Wondering if you live in NM, or were just visiting. Re: the quilt -- thanks for reviewing it, I plan to look into it. One note about temperature limits. Yes, 26F is limit, with -4F extreme limit (you'll be cold, but not die, as you suggest). One can/should bring along a lightweight polycro or tyvek sheet to wrap arround the whole bed package, or a bivy or emergency bivy, to serve as a vapor barrier, heat-trap. Yes, condensation on the sheet is possible, likely, but you will sleep warmer and wet things dry out, esp. in northern NM where 'low humidity dry' is normal. I.e. advisable to *supplement* the quilt, or any sleeping bag/blanket for that matter.
Looks Great! I love that there are more budget friendly options with few drawbacks. I also want to get my hands on their 2p backbone tent, but they are sold out everywhere.
I’m glad to know someone stayed all the way to the end. I try to do that when ever I get some good outtakes. You never know what’s going to be there. Thanks for watching!
Super useful review. I'm looking to buy my first quilt and was looking at the Zenbivy options. Cost and UK availably gave me issues but I couldn't quite believe the value of this Featherstone would stack up to quality. This has decided me. Thank you again - I'm off to the shop now!

I was using a traditional, 30 degree rectangular sleeping bag (I can't use mummy bags), but need to cut down on size and weight. So, I was advised to switch to a backpacking quilt to meet both goals. I looked at Featherstone and this quilt, but can't use a 25 degree quilt - I'm a hot sleeper and normally only hike the AT in May-June, or September-October. I love the idea of a quilt over a bag. I typically unzip my sleeping bag anyway because it makes me feel claustrophobic, and I like the freedom to toss and turn.
Sounds like Quilts are made for you. If it’s really cold I think a sleeping bag is easier to stay warm (no drafts) but for most of the time. Quilts are amazing
Ok I just ordered the moon dance! This is my first purchase from your reccomended gear. Testing your integrity here. Ill let you know what I think. I had to get the XL blue and gold version. Im 6’7” 250lbs
Regarding vertical baffles... I use a down bag with horizontal baffles than all the way around the bag. I like them because in warmer weather I can move down from top of bag to the underside.
I'm just now beginning to bedding-shop. I do toss and turn and don't like having my whole body restricted, so the more I hear about quilts the more I like them. But yes, the price gives me pause. So I'm definitely checking this product out.
It's been 5 months, but I'll respond to this anyway. Maybe you'll get some use out of it or someone else will. You don't necessarily need a quilt to do this. If your sleeping bag isn't tiny you can probably use it the exact same way as a quilt. Some bags work better than others and it's something you have to experiment with, but it's definitely doable. This is also a really good way to broaden it's temperature rating so you can use, say, a 20 degree bag all year long and spend more money on one really good bag instead of less money on two mediocre ones.
I thought you didn't talk this entire trip! 🤣 Great video with the primer on quilts. I've considered checking one out but don't think I would like the feel of the pad directly on my back. Maybe I'll try just unzipping my sleeping bag next time to sort of get a feel for it. Hadn't heard of Featherstone, but glad they sent you the quilt to review!
Thanks for reviewing a Featherstone product. Please please review their UL tent. I’m sure they will send you one. Lots of good reviews online with this one and I would like to see what you think. I’m looking for a starter tent for my kids. Thanks in advance
Hey great video and seems like a great quote I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this one, The only thing I wanted to ask is, I am 6 feet tall and pretty slim do you think I should get the regular version or the longer one? In there website they suggest getting the long version, but I looked at the dimensions and it seems like the regular one should fit just fine. What do you think? Love your videos!! and thank you so much
Never herd of Featherstone before this video. Good review, quilt is worth checking out. Out of stock on Amazon, but expected soon. Price in now 190 to 200 as of 6/30.
I saw the price went up. I wonder if that is because they are selling out? I had a friend who bought one just recently and he paid $179, so the price increase is very recent. Thanks for watching.
I have one of their Ul Granite 2p tents and was so happy with it that I ordered the Ul Obsidian 1p as well! If I ever switch to quilts, they'll be at the top of my list to try.
As always Stephen, great video! Unfortunately, I have been selling off all of my gear with exception to a few pieces and I recently spent double that plus for Z packs quilt which is super nice but it should be for the price tag
Hey there bud, I've just purchased a moondance 25 long and wide. Now let me share with you that at the end of 2021 I purchased a Thermarest Corus 20 but found it just didn't cut the mustard during a UK winter. I must say I'm not a camper that sleeps fully clothed, I just prefer a base layer. The 650 fill of the Corus 20 is poor for the price of the quilt. Anyway I intend to use both quilts together for added warmth. Good presentation atb Taff 🤠👊
@@Lowdown13blues The moondance is warm especially the LW and is my first choice during colder weather. Should conditions become too cold I'll use the Thermarest inside the moondance. Worth every penny and reliable. Thanks for bringing it to my attention atb Taff 🤠👊
This summer I just moded a jungle blanket xl, with some bungy as a quilt, cheap and ok down to 10C, using it with a UL80 pad, for winter looking at something like this quilt, the UK is damp though, so not decided on down filling tbh.
I feel like Iv seen a 0 degree quilt but can’t locate it now. The great thing about quilts is you can layer them. Which means you never have to buy something that only works on your one time winter trip. (Assuming you don’t winter camp a lot.) if you have two 20F quilts they say you can go down to -30F by layering them. Of course you need a sleeping pad that can handle that temp. And you will be dealing with drafts if you toss and turn.
I researched the Moondance quilt that you use and it's not too shabby I actually like it I just can't get over the weight. Have you considered Enlightened Equipment or Zpacks quilts?
EE and Zpacks are great. I’d love to have one. But Neither EE or Zpacks are ISO certified which leaves there temperature ratings a bit more subjective. Even though I’m sure they did a good job rating them . The EE 20 degree 85O fill only saves an ounce or 2 and costs well over a $100 more. Zpacks is using 900 fill and is almost twice the cost to save 6 oz. I’m not saying it’s not worth it. But for the price the Moondance is a steal.
a better solution to straps to hold the 16 oz quilt in place is to put the sleeping pad and quilt inside a 16oz Bivy bag. This nesting system hold everything in place and eliminate drafts. To this basic system I add a rectangular cut Alpaca Bag liner I now have several options to regulate body temperature. #1 Alpaca bag liner only, #2 add the quilt on top the Bag liner #3 zip up the Bivy bag enclosing the sleeping pad, bag liner, quilt. If the temp drops below zero F, I can put on my winter skivvies and or my 15 oz hooded puffy down jacket. My take on quilts is that they don't need to be supper warm if they are part of a MSS Modular Sleep System. Snice the body temperature fluctuates. during sleep a layered sleep system allows for a more constant body temperature and a more restful sleep. It also allows for better removal of body water vapor allowing it to move to the outer layer.
I just received mine today. Being my first quilt, it seems just securing the snaps behind you would prevent drafts better than using pad straps? Would appreciate your feedback. Thanks
I think you will be more likely to get tangled up if you toss and turn. Pad straps on the pad keep it in place and allow you to move inside. But I’ve never tried what you are suggesting
Hey I just got the quilt and it seems a little light on the amount of down in it. I am hiking the JMT in late July and early August and want to know if this will keep me warm when it gets down to the 30’s and 40’s at elevation. Any insight would be appreciated. Love the channel.
I have had this quilt down to just above freezing and was comfortable. I’m more of a warm sleeper. If you tend to feel more cold at night you might feel the chill in the low 30’s. But this will perform will in the upper 30s and 40s. Of course a properly rated sleeping pad is a must too. I personally would not hesitate to take this on the JMT in July and august.
I have a spreadsheet with thousands of quilts and sleeping bags. I have not found the fill weight of this quilt listed anywhere but assuming 70% of the total weight is fill: this quilt is best-of-the-best value for warmth per dollar, has a conservative temperature rating (plenty of insulation for the temp rating), and is slightly below average in warmth per ounce (the zipper at the bottom adds weight and many competitors use 900 fill down).
Sounds like a great option! Being Europe based, it would be nice if you could translate measures into metric system :) Thanks for the vid. Never heard of this brand before
I hear you! I did not consider an international audience when I filmed this. But I do now. And included metric in my latest video and will do so in my future videos. Thanks for watching!
I am subscribed. I voted for My Life Outdoors for the Facebook Outdoor Media Awards. I gave this video a thumbs up, however, I gotta say I would have liked to have seen more images and video of the Moondance quilt than the mere total 1 min 35 secs out of this 7:30 min video. You're a fine outdoorsy looking guy but would prefer more voice over rather than watching a talking head. I did not hear dimensions available for this quilt. What are the dimensions of the two offered sizes? Are the box baffles sewn all the way through creating potential cold spots ? Keep churning out videos. I do enjoy them and I learn a lot.
Hey. Thanks for the support. This is an older video when I was still learning what makes a great video. I don’t remember the dimensions Ill try to pull it out and have a look. In the meantime I recently got Featherstone to give me an exclusive discount code for the Moondance. Use code mylifeoutdoors for 10% off
Wish I knew about this this time last year. Dropped a tonne of money on a new quilt, and this one looks almost the same. Also just checked and you can buy it in the UK so would have saved more on import taxes.
I've eyed this quilt and the EE brand of quilts over the last year or so and still have yet to make my mind up. Now (April 2022) the Featherstone is $209, but still a solid option for me.
Ah dang, ya beat me to the punch! I am going to recommend this quilt as part of a budget pack build on one of my videos! This is a great run down and review! I agree with everything said in this video. I think a tip for not having a hood for a colder rated quilt would be to just by a super long quilt that can go over your head if needed. I made that mistake with my UGQ quilt and am now stuck with a 20 deg quilt that needs additional clothing to keep my head warm. Great video!
Great review! I’ve been tempted to look into a quilt but oddly enough, I can’t actually find one that is lower weight than my 20F sleeping bag. Anything you know of out there
@@MyLifeOutdoors It's actually the Feathered Friends Egret YF 20. I have the small size and when I weighed it at home w/o the stuff stack it's 20.4 oz. This is one of the big reasons I can't justify getting a quilt quite yet. Definitely pricey ($429), but I can actually use it year round and adjust the down w/ the way the baffles are designed.
@@GIRLplusDOGAdventures yeah I’d hang on to that too. That’s awesome! I’v seen some sub 20 oz quilts but not enough to justify the cost. You would only be saving an oz or two.
Wow these things are 50 dollars more on Amazon today compared to when this video was made! Wonder if this is still the best deal at this price point yet.
I have a 80”x28x 4.4” sleep pad inflatable. I’m buying the long wide version, so Will this fasten to my pad or is the pad too big? I’m a 6’1” 225lb guy sleep mostly side.
They use DownTek down. To the best of my knowledge all DownTek is ethically sourced. And I respectfully disagree, wool actually generates heat as it drys, will ADsorb (different than ABsorbs) 30% of its weight in water while still feeling dry to the touch. Synthetics will maintain their loft even when wet allowing it to still insulate. and dries 20% faster. It will feel noticeably colder but will not lose all of its ability to insulate like cotton and untreated down does. Thanks for watching!
I didn’t. But only because I had to test other gear. I am a fan of this quilt and would rely on it alone if I wasn’t testing gear. It’s a great quilt for the price. It has gotten a little more expensive at $209 but is still a great option. Much more expensive and it will lose its edge.
@@MyLifeOutdoors I was just checking. I see a lot of people endorse gear and then I never see them use that gear on trips. They will always end up using the best and most expensive it seems like. I guess that doesn't mean it's bad gear or anything. I would probably use the most expensive and top of the line gear also.
So when it’s cold out (late fall, winter, early spring) I prefer my north face bag. It’s rated well, has a hood, and no need to worry about drafts and I prefer a snug feel when it’s cold. When it’s summer (and a little before)and the coldest temps I’ll see are in the high 30’s. I like the quilt. The bag feels too restrictive and I tend to toss and turn more. So I sleep better in the quilt. So both. But the quilt probably sees more trail time bc I’m hiking more in the summer.
@@MyLifeOutdoors i saw your recent videos were in the olympic national forest. Im planning a trip to the Hoh rainforest in early April, would you personally use the quilt or bag?
@@superflyboi1 I took a bag there in October. I bet April has similar temperatures. I would probably take a bag for that time of year. But could make a quilt work if you had a separate hood.
@@MyLifeOutdoors I ended up getting this quilt in the long/xwide thanks to your review + comments and some additional research. Just picked it up on sale during their president's day sale. I tried to check out the Paria Gear quilt but they've been out of stock. Can't wait to give this a try!
So now I’m really contemplating purchasing this but I need to decide which size and can’t, so any help is grateful appreciated. Is the regular/regular wide enough for a side sleeper who tosses and turns a lot? Unfortunately there is no regular/wide so I would be stuck with the 7.5 feet of length if I went for the long/wide and I’m only 5’9”
I’m 5’7”. I use the regular regular with a 20 inch pad last year with no problems. I toss and turn a lot too. I have not used this with a 25 inch pad but I don’t think it would cause problems.
For a quilt, I am handy with a sewing machine. I sewed a triangle of fabric that gets zipped into my sleeping bag from the top down to the toe box, using matching zippers. Now, I am not laying on the insulation of my bag, have more room, and am warmer.
Its Blackfriday sale. I still can't decide with this Featherstone versus an Australian brand called Alton quilt. Price wise Featherstone is a little bit cheaper.
Yeh and now you know what the true inflation rate is and not the garbage the fed and media try to sell you. Also, this guys review probably increased the demand. I determined the true rate of inflation for my area is actually around 11% in the last 2 years by looking at the price different of my favorite pizza on a current menu and o two years ago. Its easy to do this with photos that people take of restaurant menus and post in Google maps.
I have to have a quilt. Before quilts came out I've had to unzip my sleeping bag and use it like a quilt. Most sleeping bag manufacturers don't make gear for big men, always zip up to bottom of my chest and that's as far as it goes.
Anyone else have a lot of tiny pieces of the down coming out of the shell with this quilt? I was just curious if this is normal with 10d nylon as I’ve never had the issue with my other bag. I really like this, so I’m hoping it stops.
Mine is not doing that. Had it over a year. I don’t use it every trip but it doesn’t just sit in my closet either. Have you contacted Featherstone about it?
Just received it, and it is lofted really well. I can look at it and see tiny pieces of down trying to poke through. I tested it last night and had lots of little pieces all over me and floating around my tent.
Because if you sleep on your side your shoulders stick up loads more than your flat side ways feet and legs. So the vertical baffles hold the down in a better line and it doesn't drop down to your front and back as you move about. The horizontal lower baffles work the same but in reverse at your lower body, legs and feet.
@@antduke2361 That is a really unclear explanation of why the lower section is horizontal. It works in reverse?? The baffles are at right angles to one another... how can it work in reverse?
The Moondance is a solid quilt. Best affordable quilt I know of. I think the price has gone up a bit but still most affordable. I think they even gave me a discount code after this video. 10 or 20% I don’t remember. Code is MyLifeOutdoors

exactly what I needed!
I thought you didn't talk this entire trip! 🤣
Great video with the primer on quilts. I've considered checking one out but don't think I would like the feel of the pad directly on my back. Maybe I'll try just unzipping my sleeping bag next time to sort of get a feel for it.
Hadn't heard of Featherstone, but glad they sent you the quilt to review!
I was worried about how comfortable the pad would be as well but have never been bothered by it. Once Iv laid down I can’t tell a difference.
Good info.
Excellent info! I heard of them but not this much info. For sure a good option!
Thanks for reviewing a Featherstone product. Please please review their UL tent. I’m sure they will send you one. Lots of good reviews online with this one and I would like to see what you think. I’m looking for a starter tent for my kids. Thanks in advance
Cool. If i ever get a nice blanket it's going to be this one!! Thank you, I had no idea ♡♡♡
It’s my favorite RN. Thanks for watching!
Hey great video and seems like a great quote I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this one,
The only thing I wanted to ask is, I am 6 feet tall and pretty slim do you think I should get the regular version or the longer one?
In there website they suggest getting the long version, but I looked at the dimensions and it seems like the regular one should fit just fine. What do you think?
Love your videos!! and thank you so much
I have the 2 person tent by them. Love it. It reminds me of the MSR hubba
Iv been looking at their tents. Good to know you like it
I have one too! Mine is the Ul Granite. I love it so much that i ordered the 1p Ul Obsidian for an upcoming hike.
I am just looking into getting my first quilt and trying to figure out what I want to get. Great review!
I love this one. It’s my go to right now. It will serve you well if you decide to get one.
Great review. Since it was sent to you for the purpose of reviewing, How often have you put it to use and what temperatures? Thanks.
Thanks for the video
2 Costco down throws sewn together and then sew a footbox. Very compatible. Good to 40.
Thanks. I’ll check it out.
Never heard of this line but I'm always looking for good budget gear. I'll check them out!
So …… how was the moondance after all compared to the Thermarest ??
Thank you
@@Lowdown13blues The moondance is warm especially the LW and is my first choice during colder weather. Should conditions become too cold I'll use the Thermarest inside the moondance. Worth every penny and reliable. Thanks for bringing it to my attention atb Taff 🤠👊
@@Taffwildmanofthewoods just bought the moondance one
Hope I won’t have to buy the thermarest now ….
@@Lowdown13blues ruclips.net/video/ID47jtvHPSk/видео.html
I used the moondance in this video and was nice and warm.
Pecos? Are you located in New Mexico?
This summer I just moded a jungle blanket xl, with some bungy as a quilt, cheap and ok down to 10C, using it with a UL80 pad, for winter looking at something like this quilt, the UK is damp though, so not decided on down filling tbh.
It is hydrophobic down if that makes you feel any better
@@MyLifeOutdoors the UK would be a good test, if the Manufacturer wants to send me one for a proper test in constantly damp conditions!
Sounds like a great alternative in warmer temps. What’s the lowest rating you’ve seen in quilts? Can they go 3 seasons or 4?
I feel like Iv seen a 0 degree quilt but can’t locate it now. The great thing about quilts is you can layer them. Which means you never have to buy something that only works on your one time winter trip. (Assuming you don’t winter camp a lot.) if you have two 20F quilts they say you can go down to -30F by layering them. Of course you need a sleeping pad that can handle that temp. And you will be dealing with drafts if you toss and turn.
I’d like to meet the person who doesn’t toss and turn when sleeping on trail!!That layering, it’s always such a good idea.
@@MyLifeOutdoors playing around with it at the house, it seemed to work well. Maybe an option for extra breezy nights.
Very interesting! That spreadsheet sounds awesome! Really appeals to the nerd in me. Would you be willing to send me a copy?
What’s the fill weight? I’d like to compare the weight of the down on this quilt to others companies befit purchasing.
Sounds like a great option!
Being Europe based, it would be nice if you could translate measures into metric system :)
Thanks for the vid.
Thanks for the review! I’m in the market and this was useful information for me. I’m sure others will feel the same.
2 years later and it's $70 more... got to love life in 2024. lol
I've eyed this quilt and the EE brand of quilts over the last year or so and still have yet to make my mind up. Now (April 2022) the Featherstone is $209, but still a solid option for me.
I recently saw that price increase. It’s still a decent price but not as attractive.
320euro now...
It’s a great quilt. I’m really pleased with it. I just saw the price went up $10 on Amazon. Much more and it won’t be as great of a buy.
I have this quilt, and its nice and toasty
Great review! I’ve been tempted to look into a quilt but oddly enough, I can’t actually find one that is lower weight than my 20F sleeping bag. Anything you know of out there
Holy Batman! you have a 20F sleeping bag that is less than 20 oz? What brand and how much did it cost?
I have used a feather Stone 1P tent for a few years now . I'm surprised how well this companies gear is for there price points .
Wow these things are 50 dollars more on Amazon today compared to when this video was made! Wonder if this is still the best deal at this price point yet.
Whoa! A year later it's $220
I'm allergic to bird feathers so down is not workable for me. What is available in artificial fibers ?
My only complaint for my current bag is packability. It takes up so much room in my pack! I definitely need to switch to a quilt.
Any problems with a side sleeper on a wide pad with this? Any issues if you put it in a compression sack to reduce bulk?
Nope no problems. This quilt is great. Wide enough for a wide pad. Packs down to about the size of a football.
I have a 80”x28x 4.4” sleep pad inflatable. I’m buying the long wide version, so Will this fasten to my pad or is the pad too big? I’m a 6’1” 225lb guy sleep mostly side.
Was that the long/wide or the regular/regular you were using in this video?
Regular/regular is what I have.
@@MyLifeOutdoors cool thanks
@@MyLifeOutdoors do you ever wish you got the wide/long to minimize drafts?
I need another alternative. This is sold out everywhere 😢
What camp pad did you use? And are you a warm sleeper?
I use an older ThermaRest NeoAir. Essentially the X-lite but before they started using that name. It’s a 4.2 R-value.
I am looking for a new quilt, but needing something the packs down small. Do you recall how small you were able to compress this down to?
To About 6x12 inch cylinder. Or a couple of Nalgene bottles. Pretty small all in all
Is it ethically sourced goose down? And nothing is warm when wet unless you just pissed your pants ✌️
Steven, did you take it on any of your last 3 trips?
@@MyLifeOutdoors you must have put the word out...I was going to pull the trigger on this quilt but it's sold out. May buy the Paria quilt.
Looks like a decent quilt for a good price.
Which have you been using more of, your Northface sleeping bag or the quilt?
@@MyLifeOutdoors that’s great, I appreciate the reply thank you
Sounds like a great option for people with limited budgets who are trying to get into the hobby.
So really think this is a good buy? I think I'll get it as a good starter quilt.
I really do. I have used it quite a bit. I have “nicer” quilts. Remove branding and you would have a hard time telling them apart.
how roomy is it on a wide pad?
Compare this to the Paria Thermodown and the Hammock Gear Economy quilts
For a quilt, I am handy with a sewing machine. I sewed a triangle of fabric that gets zipped into my sleeping bag from the top down to the toe box, using matching zippers. Now, I am not laying on the insulation of my bag, have more room, and am warmer.
Its Blackfriday sale. I still can't decide with this Featherstone versus an Australian brand called Alton quilt. Price wise Featherstone is a little bit cheaper.
Lol $250 now...
Down to $229
Yeh and now you know what the true inflation rate is and not the garbage the fed and media try to sell you. Also, this guys review probably increased the demand.
I determined the true rate of inflation for my area is actually around 11% in the last 2 years by looking at the price different of my favorite pizza on a current menu and o two years ago. Its easy to do this with photos that people take of restaurant menus and post in Google maps.
It looks nice. But I got a 0 degree outdoor vitals quilt with loft-tec for 177$
I just use the cheapest big sleeping bag with a good quality feather duvet inside on the top of my body.
Cheapest possible option to keep warm
I have to have a quilt. Before quilts came out I've had to unzip my sleeping bag and use it like a quilt. Most sleeping bag manufacturers don't make gear for big men, always zip up to bottom of my chest and that's as far as it goes.
Hammock Gear Econ Burrow. Basically the same price for a custom quilt made in the USA.
I think I found my husband's and my new quilts
This video just cost me £240... doh! I'm trusting you bro! 🤣
Update: good call Steven! I'm very impressed. I've paired it with the new x-therm nxt. I can't wait to get out and try them!
If the vertical baffles are better, why is the footbox constructed with horizontal baffles? I see this type of layout with all the top quality brands.
Okay, you did this video 2 years ago do you still feel the same way about the Featherstone Moondance 25 Backpacking Quilt?
The Moondance is a solid quilt. Best affordable quilt I know of. I think the price has gone up a bit but still most affordable. I think they even gave me a discount code after this video. 10 or 20% I don’t remember. Code is MyLifeOutdoors
300€ is cheap?
In your video you said "you're buying a quilt that's less than $180", but the price in the link you posted on Amazon shows a price of $210.
Ummmm. Prices go up. Especially over the past year. They call it inflation.
