You should get a flux core welding machine and start welding, once you have some practice and don't suck much with it, you will have all kinds of crazy ideas and won't stop doing it. So far I have modified an scooter frame, fixed a broken weld on my XRL, build a BBQ smoker, turned my fireplace into a wood oven for pizza, build a stand to work on my bikes... you get the idea.
@@erickgarcia6906 That is the plan this winter. Gotta be done before May 1st or will be waiting until next winter. I do not waste what little riding weather we have in NY in the shop.
just bought an 90 vmax last summer and i’ve done nothing to restore it since i got it so i need to get to work myself but here in FL i guess you could say i have it easy with weather down here. Hope all goes well with your project up there. Hope your water lines don’t freeze this year lol
I would encourage you to at the very least, use two bolts for the seat, seat pan. The weight of the rider , plus the force of momentum while riding, are alot for one bolt.
Currently restoring an '85 barn find cmx250 for my wife to learn on. After she's done with it I just might be doing a similar build. Looks sick.
Killer build dude. I can’t wait to build one!
Thanks, this was a really cool project.
The build is coming together faster than I was expecting. Looks good man!

I clicked here thinking he was rebuilding or customizing a redesigned rebel not one of the old ones.......Oh well still interesting.
Its a lot cheaper and accesible to buy and build an older one.
Looking great but these videos would be much better at 60fps.
Not all of my cameras shoot at 60fps
Bike looks good, but gas tank looks ugly, showing the back bone under
Thats the point
