Was on holiday down there 2 weeks ago. I had a stonker of a bass further round the headland to your right. Was some scary fishing though them rocks are dead slippery when wet and the seas were pretty rough. We stay at the caravan sites behind you every year 😉
@IanCottrell-eh8oo Hi Ian ..sweet that’s where I stay 👍🏻 I’m back In September did you have yours at the old quarry ? Or further round at the point ? Where I filmed the “bassless bassy place” short ? I fished it in the wet and alone it was very dicey I wouldn’t go down In The wet again TBF Plenty of films on here from that place 👍🏻
@@chuckitandsea @chuckitandsea further round to the next bay. Where the big concrete pad on the cliff top is. I scaled down on the point. As you say its dicey in the wet but it just screams bass. Apparently there was a lot coming out of the harbour/estuary last week.
I'm from Cornwall, grew up lure fishing for bass before it was cool. Live in the Caribbean now where I can wade the warm flats outside my house and hook (and lose) big tarpon, bonefish or jacks but I'd rather be clambering over slippery rocks in the cold chasing bass then a pasty for tea on the way home.
Always have a Toby in the tackle box , really great lure
