In this episode I'm doing the kind of fishing I love - Rough ground, rough water fishing. There was a slight cloudiness to the water which I always love to see - especially when fishing fast, choppy water.

These are the tactics that are producing fish for me at this time of year. For every one video I have probably 6 or 7 sessions with no fish, where I am experimenting with different tides, times, lures etc. There have been many sessions on spots that I have never fished before, but they don't produce on the day I'm there. I won't make a video unless I catch, because I don't think it will make very good content 😴. But if you have any tips or advice I would be very happy to take it all onboard 😀 thanks John

I love lure fishing,catch lots smaller fish that way but you can't beat a big crab bait peeler/red crab,the bigger fish prefare to feed this way.Once you know when and where to find them and what they are feeding on.
Top advice as per usual. I count it a good day if I I don't lose a lure, even better if I end up catching.

Super fish dave. I always have my drag tight for the bass. Like to get them to the surface as quick as possible. Keep up quality content. Tight lines ! 🎣🎣🎣🎣 . Agree those conditions get me going also cause instead of thinking am I going to catch, your thinking im going to catch.

Kayak out to sandbar nice fish Dave you can pick them up cheap second hand nothing fancy just enough to paddle out too marks
I did get one but sold it couple weeks later, made a nice profit 😅 ah there's plenty of marks accessible from the shore, I'd just be greedy then 😉😂
Got 3 so far one was huge all on a 12g rod. I like the 12g a better fight and easier to keep from snagging.
You'd have great craic with good fish on a light rod like that!
@specimendavetv7826 location dictates that It was the only system I could make work. Anything heavier is a waste of time in that place. I got mine on a white lure too, I think the sand eals are white then turn green maybe I am completely wrong.

They are tags with an individual identification number on them. They are provided by the IFI, Inland Fisheries Ireland. If you want to get some for yourself, check out my video "Tagging all the bass I catch" from last year. In the description there is an email address where you can get them for yourself 😁
@specimendavetv7826 that's great what you are doing,I'm over in Cornwall UK so I don't know if anything like it is here,plus I'm just getting back into lure fishing,and not caught anything yet.
What's the craic with the tags? Wouldn't mind tagging mine tbh
Hi Phil. They are tags with an individual identification number on them for each bass so if they are caught again, the angler can record the details such as length, weight, location etc. Check out my video from last year "tagging all the bass I catch" in the description there is an email address for someone in IFI who handles the distribution of the tags 😀
