Fishing for pollock ! | conclusion of Kev’s fall
The day after the fall for Kev we went back to the same mark again.. 🤞🏻
At this point we hadn’t realised Kev had overhead kicked my rod into the air that didn’t become apparent until I was editing the fall in slow motion! Couple of pollock but a video to complete the fall story.

Well guys a short session ending with us making a sensible decision for once! It’s a good job Bass are so hardy it was a right battle to land the fish in those conditions, I had a plan to land a fish but when it happened the reality was very different🤷🏻♂️. The day started well until Kev broke his rod ! He went off on the 1/2 hour hike to get his spare and I was into the pollock having a lovely time ! Kev returned and was straight into a fish probably the same one ! He had to get his tools to get the hook out and had a nasty fall also falling onto his other rod breaking that into about 8 bits ! Although at the time I hadn’t noticed his Bellingham ...

Nice little session at a new venue for myself and Kev really enjoyed this one very nice place to Chuck lures ! Also just went back to an old video to find my PB was 45 not 48 so this was a new PB looks like I had 2 PBs this session but dropped the biggest one because I’m an idiot 🤦🏻♂️ Tight lines guys 👍🏻

You two are just THE most accident prone fishermen I know. Come on….buy a new rod and reel and start afresh…no breakages this time…no falls…..just big fish on new gear. lol piss off 😂 It was a very expensive fall for Kev ! Thankfully he has replaced my rod for me already.. only had a schoolie on it so far tho…. It’s just one accident that’s goes on and on 🤷🏻♂️🤣

Well.. the one that broke was the major craft triple cross TCX 862 ML sea bass style the reel on that was a shimano Vanford 5000 then due to that being damaged as well I changed to a Dave Barnham Travel Rod 7ft 7-35g with a penn slammer 2500 this is a great little rod handled a big bass very well video below… ruclips.net/video/MYmkBnso5bM/видео.htmlsi=vKUpgdJgR169ITrn

I’m heading down to Bude, Cornwall in August & wanted to do some sea fishing. Never really done any if I’m honest. I’m a through and through coarse predator fisherman. Like the idea of spinning for fish! I have plenty of rods/ reels. Any advice? Little spinners/ feathers or spoons? I’d appreciate any advice guys. Cheers 👍. I’m enjoying the content!

Never mind the rods, glad you're both OK. Good to see that you were both wearing life vests, a perfect example of why you should wear one. If you get the ones that auto inflate they will keep you afloat and your head above water even if you knock yourself out, well done guys. Could have been sooo much worse.

Thanks guys for all the messages of support and asking if i am ok. My shin is still feeling a bit sore and theres a sizeable lump on the bone but no lasting damage thanks. We are all to quick to dish out advice to people but sometimes dont heed it ourself. So lesson learned and hopefully back fishing soon. Tight lines everyone and thanks again !
Kev.....honestly don't mean to be an ar**hole, but u should have thanked god you were still alive, listened to your good mates advice and just sat down for 5. Just looking at you after that fall, looking at your gear.......... was almost waiting for you to fall in pal. Forget the gear. All in all just glad you're ok.

That’s the hope ! A bit like my life jacket one I put on last year when I got washed in. I was being cocky and got caught out but I put it up in the hope it would make people think.

Na how to catch Bass is on about 27k this is a fast starter tho but it’s slowing quickly..as you may guess only 20% watch it all tho 🤷🏻♂️ hopefully it will make people think a little when out on the rocks

I live here, never fish the coast without studs, summer or winter the rocks can be deadly especially after rain. No matter how experienced you are its so easy to get caught out, could have been worse but as said a good day can turn itself on its head in a flash. Tightlines

Hope Kev is well, nasty fall that, had a few myself. I went to a mark last night , big angled boulders with 15ft deep voids between, I was on my own with studs on as always. This video has made me think again, I will stick to safer areas at night when on my own, it just isn't worth it! even for a 70cm Bass. You can't catch a thing with a broken leg/knee or worse.
Yeah it’s a bit of a reminder to us all not to get to complacent with our safety when fishing! Same as the video I posted last year when I ended up in the drink !
I had a friend who did this alone and died. Insane fall and lucky. You cannot fish those rocks at that age, Im sorry...especially with the wrong boots.

Yeah I think the jumping up and I am etc was a shock thing then the adrenaline kicks in.. got him sat down for a bit before we climbed back up !

I had a fall like this a couple of years ago, did my ankle gashed my leg and and ended upside down in a deep rock pool.Brings it home how careful you've got to be and you're lucky to be able to walk out after a fall on rocks. Your footwear is totally wrong , you need studs, they're so much safer. Look at supratrack studs

Worse than you think it was 3 rods the rod he kicks into the air with the overhead kick was my major craft triple cross… it’s now dead also kev has graciously bought me a new one … definitely a day to forget oh mine is 10-30 it’s lovely
Ouch ! I didn’t know your triple cross got totalled too !! Least you got a new one out of it anyway .. more importantly it’s a result Kev didn’t really hurt or worse .. it was a bad fall that one !! I ended up ordering the triple cross 9’8” surf version 10-45g .. anyway I’ll look forward to your next vid mate and tight lines
