Really appreciate how you edit and present the material. I’m going to dive in on your methods, not that I didn’t grow up fishing, but you make your style so freakin assessable. Honestly I’m a little sold on it partly because the videos are fun to watch.
Another great video. Thank you. Baby Bluegill is a "go to" color for me. I hike into alpine lakes and fish for wild brook trout. I notice a little green color in brook trout, and I think that Baby Bluegill imitates it well.
Thanks for the great video. I appreciate the detailed advice. Here in North Carolina they will start stocking rainbow trout on the 9th. I would like to see a video on the tube float that you were using and how you got it setup. I’m also curious about the water temperature and what you had on because it seemed to be cold. Tight lines.
No worries. As I remember the ambient temp was around 30 in the morning and warmed to the mid 50’s. The water temp was 58-60. I was wearing my usual cold weather gear, thermals, wool socks, sweat pants (under the waders), hooded sweatshirt, and my arcteryx jacket. Im coming out with a float tube buyers guide video in the coming weeks but her is a link to a video where I give a brief overview of one of my favorite tubes and how its set up. ruclips.net/video/u5JnhlNzL4A/видео.htmlsi=xXzIBW3eBIv2QvX6
Hey bud no more trolling on the sea Spanker I learned a lot of techniques from your trolling videos, I have a pontoon maybe if your up to it we can meet in Bakersfield that would be cool to have you and team out here trolling buena vista lakes gets Mt Lassen Trout .
Yes and no haha. Estevan and I fish with Japanese reels for mini jigs and dropshot. The Japanese version has a very shallow spool so the 175 will fill it almost perfectly. The US versions have much deeper spools so you will need to use some mono or fluoro for backing. I did a video on spooling spinning reels and I talk about using backing and Japanese reels etc. here is the link ruclips.net/video/RukNGWMv7jw/видео.htmlsi=3WxH-f1MkAamotJ_
Thanks again for a very informative video!!

Very cool. Another color we are finding that works with wild trout is Goldfish. We think it imitates the chub fry 🤘

Definitely. Its like fishing in a La-z-boy haha
Great video Rob as ususal! Is the 175 yd spool of sinister strand enough to fill a 1000 size spool or do you use backing?
