Konova did contact us and sent us this piece of equipment for a review. We were in no way paid to promote this product. This review was done with our honest opinion of what we received.
I solved the problem of the motor stopping by taking an exacto knife and trimming about 1.5mm of plastic off the end of each plug so that now they insert more fully. Now it's so much better.
Hardcore gardener at 5:51 haha!
Thanks guys, really enjoyed that. After listening to the movement of the motor it may be abit loud in a quite environment for me when filming cars. Other than that its super smooth and would be great if I'm not recording sound.
Just recently received the MSB bundle for my K2 60cm Konova slider. Love it. I really like how low-profile the system is. I saw the earlier cylinder style motors and those were really clunky and just down right ugly! My only complaint is how noisy it is. I didn't really anticipate not being able to use the audio from my RODE mics that connect to my DSLR.
Dope. Can't wait to get this
Hi there and thx for your video.
I got one but cannot figure out if there's an option to make the head go back and forth non stop . Thx for your help and sorry if that issue has been discussed before
Great review.
Hey! Very nice video! When in automatic mode, does the slider turn to opposite direction automatically? So that it could go on from end to end continuously. Is that possible?
i just got it but i don't know how to make it to left to right unlimited?
any idea how?
can the controller send the slider in the opposite direction each time the delimiter button is hit? I haven't seen this mentioned in any reviews.
I have not seen that done before and from using it myself, I wouldn't see a way to program it to continue to go back and forth. Might be something that could be done on the smart controller system, but I don't have one myself.
thanks, strange they have left that out as it's a very useful function for interview / podcast channels etc
I upgraded to the the MS motor. A lot easier to set up and carry. The instructions that came with mine say to set the gear ratio by pressing and holding the 3 Axis button 2-3 seconds and wait for a "T-1-T3" to appear but all I see are numbers. I have the same basic controller as you but it's a year old. Maybe they did an upgrade. The thing seems to be working fine though.
Thanks for review. This new system look better, more compact and more easy to setup. I have Konova K2 60cm and was considering Motorized System for photo time-lapse for a long time. Konova MSS Bundle with smart controller cost even less when first version (Smart Pan Tilt Motion Controller Bundle B). I see only one small disadvantage, that the motor is sticking out, camera can't reach the edge of the track and you lose around ~ 5-10cm of your slider track. Can you confirm that or that's not a big problem at all? I'm worry cause I have a shortest K2 60cm version :/
When you pause it at 1:32 of the video, you can see the the part that sticks out is to the left of the base plate. You are right with your concern of that sticking out and you not being able to get to the edge at least on one side of the motor due to it extending further out than the base plate.
This is probably an outdated question - but what is the purpose of the CAT5 network cable? Trying to connect it to Bitfocus companion to my stream deck.... but need help figuring out whether it's possible. Please DM me - or message here to help me.
I just i want to ask if i can use this control for timelapse ?? or it's just for video !!
did you get an answer, I have the same question?
will the low speed work for timelapse? or is it to fast?
I think you need the 1500:1 motor instead. That's what i'm trying to figure out atm
Hi, what is the motor speed. 250:1? Thks
is it too noisy for interviews ?? thanks
