Hi Tom, I have been in an email conversation with Richard at Konova and I suggested that they have you do some more videos of they use of their Slider Jib Crane with the pan tilt head. You are one of the best people for the job, you are spot on most of the time (99%) :)This all started because I wanted to attach my Sony A7r2 directly to the pan head. As it turns out, "no can do" on the K7/J2 package they are offering. So I might just design a carbon fiber plate to do the job. You could probably do 3 or 4 demos based on the pictures shown on the back page of the "Slider Jib J2 Setup Guide" The setup guide like most of the instructions that come with their products is poor at best. But I think they have some pretty good stuff especially considering the price.Anyway, I hope these guys give you some work.
Tom, how are you? Do you know how can we calculate an ending frame point when we are making a timelapse with pan and tilt? I have to calculate it with the number of pictures i take related with the time it takes me to take the pictures , or how? We have a Konova K7 Thanks!
Hi Tom With regards to both konova controllers, one being for live motion and the other more timelapse, couldnt you use just the live motion and then an intervalometer to create time-lapses at the same time?
Hey Tom, thanks for the video. Quick question the Sony battery plate adapter you refer to do you know if that switches the 7.2v from the Sony np battery to 12v to power the motor? I picked up a near enough identical looking plate the other day which does power the motor but at a reduced rate, seems it only outputs the same 7.2v from the battery, and the battery is fully charged. Cheers
Hi, dear Noel Tolentino Here I send you link of Sony Battery Adapter on Ebay. www.ebay.com/itm/Cinetree-Battery-plate-adapter-For-Sony-NP-F970-F750-F960-/121559821292 You could purchase directly.
Thanks for putting this together Tom. I have the Gen1 version and I'm not very pleased with it. Do you have issues with the controller where the speed dial fluctuates at the lower numbers (between 4 and 5, or 5 and 6 etc.)? This makes it nearly impossible for me to gauge the length of travel at a given (slow) speed. I emailed Konova, but they don't acknowledge the problem. Is the new motor quieter than the old one?
As always Tom, I enjoyed your video AND "speech"! As for the A H commenting on the stutter, please forgive his IQ - seems very under average.... and Michael thanks for picking this up on behalf of Tom whom I find such a decent down to earth person and someone I learn a lot from apart from just photography / video stuff.

I think the noise is about the same

I think most lower end slider motors make more noise. I don't understand the three motors. Why can't they make one universal motor and one controller.
