To be honest building a system like book my show ,Ticketmaster is not an easy task . Hats off to engineering team of book my show . While building systems at scale many things come into play such as cost constraint . In recent of my experience we were having two db instances for one service earlier to manage read write operation effectively . But later on we have to reduce it one as there were cost constraints from organization . for some of the projects even we have to move from microservices to monolith to save infra cost .
That’s true bro - another angle of looking at the problem. In this video, added my suggestions for study purpose for folks who’s preparing for System Design interviews!
@TechMonkKapil yes It was indeed very helpful . I learnt something new about virtual private rooms also if you can make a video regarding this virtual room concept or managing queue it will be very helpful.
No proper information on how the queue is managed, and how the queue position is determined and updated. Everyone knows Kafka, Loadbalancer, and cache is used, but how queue is managed and how the element in queue is validated..is not explained
Yes bro this is just a high-level architecture and system design tips. Due to video length, I could not get into details of each pointer, but stay assured there will be videos in the future where everything will be covered in detail with separate videos!
Nice 1:15

Totally, looks like you’re the second one interested in Effective Queue management and Virtual Private Rooms.
Definitely now it’s in my next list!
Insightful
Glad you liked the detailing and system design tips!
