Just got the sk8 hi mte3... i live in toronto.. pretty wet and cold wore for the first time today i gotta say they are my favourite boot i have ever worn... being canadian ive been threw at least 10 pairs threw out my life the mte 3 are superior to 90 percent of the boots i own... only the sorrels and northface boots i own can compare.. but dont look close to as nice as the vans
@@Mike-nq2em pretty warm. I also ended up getting the waterproof leather chuck taylor. The soles are thick plus windproof and less vibration on my cruiser
Do you think these would be good for working out at the gym or better suited for hiking ? I would buy these in a heartbeat if I lived anywhere but Florida lol
I might get these mainly for everyday use but i might either use the same ones for hunting or get a separate pair. It may be snowy and definitely cold. Would these be a right choice?
Just got a pair of the Brown/Blacks, only pair I could find in stock in my size anywhere was an EU shop lmao. Not the exact color I wanted but I felt like they'd only become harder to find.
thanks bro, watched your video and just got myself a pair of brown/black. looking forward to putting these badboys to use in the snow in Canada. I got half a size larger than my vans skool.
I have the Sk8 hi gore-tex. They're nice boots, only for winter time. They literally seize your feet, no cold, no water. If you like hikes and long walks, this is not the best shoes you can wear. They're only for snow, rain, cold and short walks.
Just bought these and took a 5 km walk in temps just around freezing. They are pretty comfortable but my toes got super cold. When I checked the toe cap area I found that it’s very plastic and has close to zero insulation out there. Very bummed about that....
A great looking boot, but the gore-tex doesn't work. my feet regularly get soaked. To be fair Vans offered money back, but I'd rather they dressed the issue.
Can you tell us in more detail what causes your feet to get wet, from the moisture coming from the outside or from the fact that sweat does not come out?
@@chickengod100 it seems to come from outside where the natural crease in the boot is, just back from where your toes bend. The outer side of the foot where the rubber trim starts to come away. There is water ingress there and through the gore-tex membrane. I live in Scotland though. A very wet place.
@@ruanaichSuch rubber pads from the sole to the upper part of the shoe are a sore spot and apparently Vans also did not learn how to glue this part qualitatively. Qualitatively, it can be glued only by thermoforming. And here it's just glue, and over time the overlay will peel off.
@@chickengod100 mine were about two months old and it happens on both shoes. The fact vans offered a refund over a replacement tells me they are aware of the problem but are unable to resolve it.
BRO THIS IS THE FIRST REVIEW I CAN FIND HAHA THANKS MAN

I feel like hikking boots are coming in style now for casual wear to 2021. I got the sk8 hi MTE 2.0 DX black/brown ones. I like black also lol

@@allyrene359These shoes are not for hiking or long walks.

why only for short walk ? is it uncomfortable ?
@@diqidayat They are comfortable, but kinda heavy, I prefer my sneakers unless there is snow.
I'm so glad I bought this! Waiting for my shipment 😍
Just curious as to how they feel after wearing them for a few days or weeks? Really want a pair for myself just curious 🧐
@@mrsweet4955 dude not gonna lie. Best shoes I've ever bought! They are hella comfy
OK for summer hiking or are they too warm?
Would you recommend sizing up or down from your regular Vans size? Thanks for the review by the way!
I saw a couple reviews on the vans website that said they run small, so size up 1/2 to 1 full size
are these hot for regular wear like not in snow
what would this kind of shoe be used for??? hiking on rough trails??? off road walking???
Whatever you can throw at it, these are built tough to withstand any terrain.
I know vans are skate lifestyle shoes. How do they work in snow and hiking?
I live in a forest in Sweden and I own the sk8 hi mte and they’re super good in snow and forest, and the ultrarange are probably even better
HOW ARE THEY HOLDING UP?!
Haven’t put them to the test yet... but soon hopefully.
Can't wait to get a pair
How would you rate the grip? Looking at maybe using them for roofing
Grip is pretty solid, I haven’t had any issues with them yet, even on snow and ice.
Can you shine the toe box
These look like some dope hiking shoes

If you take a 1 mile walk every day, you will find out that these shoes are not for walking.
i have a pair got it for motor riders verry comfortable shoe.. i personaly buy this for motor drive!!
Thoughts on use for winter biking?
Are they steel toed or composite toes
I wonder if they would last if I take the to work. im in the construction business
No steel toe, be careful
Are they waterproof?
where i can found them ??? eu 46
They don't sell them anymore :(
Do the outsoles of these shoes last?
Wow those look like motorcycle boots that rubber on the top of the toe is for the shifter on a bike
Is it a good snow shoe
Looking for a boot for winter mountain biking.... what do ya think?
Might be a little stiff
Are they steel toe & water proof?
These are extremely comfortable I have the same pair!!
How are they for hiking in warm weather?
