- Walther PPK/S 380 review including pros and cons. Overview of the classic handgun often associated with the 007 spy films, the legendary Walther PPK pistol with demonstration of disassembly and reassembly.
This is one of the best PPK videos I have ever seen. Well done sir! Wish they still made the laser grips. Again, excellent review!
Thanks for watching and thanks for the positive comment. Hope you'll take time to check out more of my videos on RUclips - search "Mick Mac's Table Top Reviews" on RUclips.
Managed to get my hands on a newly made US one. I can confirm that you get one mag with the pinky extension and one with a flat floorplate. The new box is super classy, too. Quality is amazing, and the gun is beautiful and well-made.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the update on the PPK/S packaging. Much appreciated.
Phenomenal review of one of my very favorite arms. Until I saw your video, I never knew there was a Crimson Trace laser grip. Thank you for a very thorough review. Well done sir.
Glad you enjoyed it . Thanks for the comment. Yep, one of my favorite firearms as well.
The channel is a huge delight and incredibly informative .... you do a fantastic job on each of the vids! thank you

Great reviews. I purchased my 1932 PPK in .32 ACP for $100! An excellent pistol that I sometimes carry in my self made shoulder rig with 2 extra magazines as well as an Olight Warrior Mini to help balance the weight of the gun and of course light when needed. I also purchased a Walther PP target pistol last year, sporting a very scarce 8" barrel (.22 lr) produced for target shooting. This gun is in pristine condition with a removable weight under the barrel as well as a removable compensator (to remove the slide when cleaning).
Wow! Very cool. Sounds like that PPK .32 I missed buying. I'm jealous. Thanks for watching and thanks for sharing. Don't forget to like, share and subscribe. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on RUclips.
@@mickmacstabletopreviews8466 yes, I have liked and subscribed and listened to some of your other reviews and will work through it as I have the time. Thanks for your insights! I cannot stop bragging about the bargains I have bought. Last week a S&W model 10-1 (19159-1961) with a 4” pencil barrel. I understand that that particular run was actually the first time that S&W made them with with bull barrels, so I wonder why this one has a pencil barrel. Your knowledge will be appreciated… God bless!
Hard to tell, except that nothing is absolute in most firearms manufacturing. Could be that there were parts left over, so they were used up in a final run later than expected. That would not be uncommon in the past for some manufacturers. Makes it difficult to be as exact as we might like. Best wishes.
Enjoyed your lesson on the PPK-S

The first Bond gun was the Beretta. He used it in the early books but was upgraded to the PPK under orders of M after a real firearm expert wrote to Ian Fleming and told him the Beretta was too limp.
That is correct. As I remarked in this video, the 25 caliber Beretta 418 was Bond's first choice. Thanks for watching and don't forget to like, share and subscribe. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on RUclips.
Yep! Whenever someone says that the Walter was Bond’s favorite gun, I usually have to correct them
Thanks for the comment. Hope you'll take time to check out my other reviews.
I just bought one. Haven't shot it yet. However I find racking the slide is SO STIFF! That is normal correct? Also I bought mine used.
Yes, I find the slide on the PPK/S to be fairly stiff compared to the SIG P238, for example. My wife prefers her Bersa Thunder 380 for that reason. My PPK/S seemed very "tight" (almost too tight) when I first got it new, but now after about 2,000 rounds, it seems about equal to the Bersa. Thanks for watching and thanks for the question. Hope this helped. If you haven't already, I hope you'll subscribe and check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on RUclips.
Idk if this is just how these work but I just bought one and when I chamber a round if I rack the gun again it doesn’t eject the bullet unless the mag is out and it just falls out the mag well
You'd think that as you rack the slide, all rounds should eject until empty. I just tried it myself with snap cap rounds and it worked perfectly the first time with safety on. So I tried it again with safety off and the rounds jammed. I tried it again with the safety on and the rounds still jammed. No matter what I do now, the rounds jam. Interesting. Not sure what's going on. As for the round falling out the mag well with the mag removed, yep, that's what will happen. Regardless, I've owned and carried this PPK/S for many years and once broke-in, it has functioned fine for me. Until till you brought it up, I didn't know that it had this oddity about it.
At least I can verify that the issue you have appears to be a characteristic of the gun. Hope this helps.
Check my edit to my previous reply. This may help.
@@mickmacstabletopreviews8466 yea thank you bc I was just wondering if it was just mine it functions good while shooting just didn’t know why it wasn’t ejecting
You sound like James Bond
Nice review
"But of course I do." Glad you liked the review and thanks for the comment.

My grandfather was a under cover agent of the german federal police in the 1970s. He killed a man with his PPK as he was attacked with a knife. He was investigating a pedophile and human traficing ring. What he saw broke him and he was a high decorated vet of WW2.
