You're obviously gonna have a lot of new audience with Persian music, it's a wormhole, there's so many different genres and styles and it's never ending.
This song and this artist is considered an experimental song, but Namjoo is in fact traditionally trained and he mixes Persian folk style in his singing.

Mohsen tells stories by his different styles and tones of singing. Listen to his tones. It is like different characters of a story. Besides, he reads poetry of Hafiz. He is an ABSOLUTE creative artist, Shirin & Farhad are symbols of love in Persian literature like Romeo & Juliette, they have a really nice love story with a sad ending.... and the character of the song refers his lover as to Shirin. At a certain point the voice changes to an old man's voice, that's one of the beauties of this song, it illustrates that the boy singing this song has grown old and still he hasn't got to his lover and he is still alone
