That's why I'm huge advocate of using rubber boots AND gloves when doing street drain clearing. All the debris that runs into drains from street is not sanitary & with needles & such, could be dangerous. Please, PLEASE be careful when being of service!

Ya, I definitely recommend getting a heavy pair of rubber gloves. You don't want to get poked by anything, either, never mind bacteria and parasites, etc. Nice work, sorry about the dogger.
Always love to see someone willing to be of service, this would have taken all day if not more because they don't have the personnel to do it or this area wasn't a priority, God bless you and all you do for others😃
Most of what is going on is the city is too cheap to buy a truck that brushes the curbs and vacuums up the leaves.Had same problem in my town and they finally bought one .What a difference no more flooded streets
They also just seem to have the wrong kind of drain everywhere. Most drains have an opening on the bottom, as well as up the curb, so even if the bottom one gets covered by leaves, water still flows over the leaves into the side of the drain on the curb side.
Hope that dog teaches you to stop putting your hand in the water when you have feet & a rake. It's dirty street water, not a stream. I do like the videos though 🇬🇧
Like your videos and what you are doing! I'd like to suggest you set up a stationary camera that shows the whole scene while you are working. Just watching the drain opening is not as interesting.

There has to be employment first, hoss …. That requires employers, employers are usually businesses, businesses are usually started, owned, and run by people with money, that means they can be labeled as “rich”, and the sentiment in the party currently in power is one that regards anyone that can be labeled as “rich” MUST, by definition, be evil, greedy, exploitive, and the enemy of the people. Politicians are NOT empowered by people that paddle their own canoe, and don’t go around all day wondering what they can get for free. Bottom line: No jobs- no Detroit. So, if people know where the drains are, why are they not going out and clearing them out themselves so they don't have to sit in the middle of a flood?

if nobody removes the leaves permanently and nobody has money for maintenance then you should merge the districts and tear down houses
