    Thanks for the clear video. The private policy you have on your website, can that be used for someone else, if we change the web name?

      Some tweaks would need to be made but you could use what we have to give you a starting point :)

    Hello , How do I create pages only in footer and not in top navigation bar?

    • @wpbeginner
      @wpbeginner  Год назад +2

      You would need to set what your navigation bar displays by creating a menu and then you would only have the pages appear where you set them to appear. You can see more on creating a menu in our article below:

    Thank you for the video but this does not work on new wordpress sites. The "Menus" under "Appearances" are not available in newer version of themes. You have to switch back to the older version and remove all the widgets added. Total headache.

      You would want to take a look at our written article below that covers using the full site editor for some newer themes:

    Excuse me sir, my wordpress dashboard doesnt have settings option, what should i do now?

    • @wpbeginner
      @wpbeginner  Год назад +1

      If you do not have a settings section, you likely do not have admin permissions for your site.

    I have linked the privacy policy page to my footer but when I go to my website and click on the link it is blank. I know for a fact I saved the policy, it's there when I go to my pages section. I cannot figure out why nothing populates when I click on it from my page. It's so frustrating because I really wanted to launch and know that a privacy policy is required. Any ideas?

    • @wpbeginner

      If it is blank then we would recommend ensuring the page is published in case that may be the issue as if the URL is correct then it should be the correct page.

      You can use optinmonster.com to create a popup and add relevant links to showcase to the users.

    how do you manage to create the page and still being able to see it with the menu and the footer? my page is just plain text

    • @wpbeginner
      @wpbeginner  Год назад

      That would likely be determined by your theme. The specific theme you are using may have a template for your privacy policy page. We would recommend checking the support for your current theme and they should be able to assist!

    The appearance tab in my word press does not have the menu option. How can I get to it?

    • @wpbeginner
      @wpbeginner  Год назад

      Your theme is likely using the full site editor in which case there are some different methods you need to use. As an example we would recommend taking a look at our article below:
      www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-add-navigation-menu-in-wordpress-beginners-guide/#add-menus-in-fse-themes

    what if I only want to add privacy policy visible in the footer menu and not on header menu???

    • @wpbeginner
      @wpbeginner  Год назад +1

      It depends on your specific theme but you would only add it to your footer menu to achieve that.

    what if you don't have the privacy option in pages

    • @wpbeginner
      @wpbeginner  Год назад

      You may be on WordPress.com in which case would recommend taking a look at our article below:
      www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/self-hosted-wordpress-org-vs-free-wordpress-com-infograph/
      If you're not on WordPress.com then we would normally recommend trying to disable your plugins in case one may have removed the option as well as ensure you are on the latest version of WordPress.
