She auditioned for the role of Captain Janeway. I love Kate mulgrew, but I would like to take a peek of that alternate reality where Nicola got the role.
Oh this was such fun. Season 23 was not my favourite at the time. I agree with Colin that a trial was an odd decision when the show itself was on trial. However, I do love these actors and the fact they've been able to build on their characters in audio adventures. I appreciate their continued affection and support for the series and its fans. Such a shame Michael Jayston is no longer with us, a terrific actor, memorable in everything I saw him in. Thank you so much for uploading. Much appreciated.
Thank you so much for the beautiful comment! I love them too, they are adorable. I'm so sad Michael Jayston passed away in February. This was a way of remembering him, he was such a kind, sweet and lovely gentleman.
A wonderful conversation about a time and team in the series that was criminally underrated. Colin is genuinely the Doctor I warm to the most, both on an off screen, and this team were just perfect for him. Thank you for the upload.
I loved Colin's portrayal of the doctor. I thought he brought quite a bit of William Hartnell's irritation back into the role. I just hated the costume, but then, I think pretty much everyone did, but we'll blame that one on JNT, cos it was his decision.
7:50 I once got some of the best exercise of my life pacing up and down Baker St., looking for the damned Sherlock Holmes Museum. It's not where you'd expect 221, with the modern (c. 1990) addresses!
My goodness! Aside from the magnificent rehabilitation of Mel Bush in the latest series, I'm absolutely tickled by how delightful Bonnie Langford truly is. I found Mel kind of obnoxious in the original run, but Bonnie herself (and Nu Who Mel) is just a joy! Already knew Nicola was far more enjoyable than Peri. Love them all, even while Trial of a Timelord was a rough watch.
I've actually been wondering what Nicola (who laff'd at my joke on Twitter, thereby being my first fan interaction person), sounded like without the Peri accent. I'm astounded at myself for not having any memory of hearing Nicola out of accent, though I know I have, because she played "Nicola" in a training video I watched at university a few decades back...
Bonnie Langford improves with age, Nicola Bryant is still a strikingly beautiful lady, Michael Jayston seemed like a nice bloke, and Colin Baker is simply one of the most entertaining people I have ever seen.
I would have liked to see Colin Baker working with Sir Laurence Olivier. I'm sure that would have been a fascinating thing to watch. Olivier died before I was even born but having looked into his life and career, I have massive respect for the man.
Rest in peace, Michael Jayston. I wish you'd gotten one last hurrah as the Valeyard in Peter Capaldi's era.
He had a big finale in the Sixth Doctor's regeneration story with Big Finish.
@@jeremythomaswebb1485 Also returned as The War Valeyard during the Eighth Doctor Time War audios and got a bittersweet redemption there.
@@TheSixthDoctor That's great 😃👍
Colin Baker seems like he'd be everybody's favourite uncle. And Nicola Bryant is more gorgoeus here than during her tenure

Nicola Bryant is aging very gracefully. It looks like only 10 years have passed.

This is very precious...❤Loving the interactions,The trust, The Honesty...R.I.P. Michael Jayston.
32:21 - I am now officially scared of Nicola Bryant.

You're very welcome! I feel the same. :)
My favourite season of classic Doctor Who with the best cast of Doctor Who, love it!

Wow Nicola Bryant has aged incredibly well. Peri was a crush of mine and she’s still gorgeous.

An absolutely brilliant watch.
I met Colin Baker 13 years ago. Nice man. Good sense of humor. My favorite Trial of a Time Lord story was Mindwarp.
Great seeing the two companions together!
Love all of them, thanks for posting :)
You're very welcome! 🥰
Nicola is so pretty I CANNOT... also I think she and McGann have AMAZING CHEMISTRY. I wanna see Eighth with Peri Brown........

I (Pat) Saw Bonnie Langford in GYPSY at the Music Hall in Dallas, TX - Pre-broadway. Still have me program and need to get her to sign it LOL
Wish they would do another one of these
This was so lovely

This was great to see jaysron one last time

This is an extra on the season 23 blu ray box set.
Really? Thanks - I was getting stressed out that I'd have to add it to my ever-increasingly massive Watch Later list.
@@KryojenixWouldn't you have to add it to your watchlist either way?
6:00 relieved New Zealander here.
Ironically, my girlfriend once cried her way out of getting a speeding ticket, so she has something in common with Nicola.

Am i the only one who would love to hug colin
Loved this. :)
28:55 Bonnie 😂
Can't watch this now, I'm at work. Is this on the Season 23 Blu Ray boxet?

I ❤❤ this.
Colin, what happened to your wrist?
The arabs gave Peri the Instagram model treatment
Where is this from
This was a bonus feature.
Snog Mel
Marry Peri
Avoid the Doctor
That's Colin Baker? WHAT HAPPENED?
Why? He looks fine. This was in 2020 or 2021 I think...
Before Michael Jayston was cancelled.
???????
Nicola is still HOT😊
Very beautiful woman.
