Triple Motor Machine Room (Vintage and Mechanical Elevators). The People's Building, McKeesport, PA

Big thanks to "Bill" for letting me have access and his great stories about when he was an elevator machinist, also thanks to my boss for bringing me.
Unfortunately I mostly took pictures here and not much videoing but i made sure to get video of this very epic motor room! I got a bunch of pictures for my Instagram ( / rhpidd ) with more of the building's elevators including an Otis cargo elevator from the 1900s-1910s

They will probally be modded in the next 3-4 years unless there isn’t any problems. They will be modded on a broken basis

I asked about that Otis, I believe it was water damage from the roof.

@@rhpid Water damage? Ok that makes sense cuz the motors are DESTROYED but they still work perfectly

The escape hatch should be locked ,because if conduit or long pipe is loaded wrong could kill someone inside.
