This building just continues to have some issues that I can't wrap my head around. Hopefully once I go through the clutch it calms down a bit. Thanks for watching.
@@Idontknow-mf7tx yeah, you can't jump or fall over guard rails. sometimes the invisible barriers are annoying when you want to take a shortcut but you gotta admit the security it brings is pretty nice in this scenario. actually though walking on a sidewalk is more dangerous. elevators typically have a minimum of 3 systems in place to keep the elevator from freefalling plus theres usually some sort of spring/cushion/crumple zone that will dampen the impact even if it does. stepping off into that open shaft space is actually kinda hard to do, theres a bunch of equipment in the way for starters and even if you do manage to fall off somehow theres at least 5 things you can grab onto.
@@foogee5403 oh yeah true that. < 1 inch gaps can be scary. see deviantollam's video titled with something like pit to penthouse. iirc they showed a good demo on one of the slides, and is otherwise very easy to understand and entertaining.
That PCB control panel is something, reminds me of fire alarm & security panels. These look super fun to work on like working at food processing plant.
@@satoshiaaron I have no idea why thats a bad thing (from context I assume its a shitty controller), but from now on "until they put a Schindler 3300 in there when they rebuild it" is my default response to anything along the lines of the original comment whether its about elevators or not! 🤣🤣🤣
Car guide rollers could be worn and shifted the car. Rollers should be 1/4 inch away from clutch. Clutch should grab 1/4 of the front roller MO Assemblies should be pinned after adjustment
My friend who works in the physical penetration testing department of our company is forever hiding in elevators. He takes them out of service and sits in them reading a book and now matter how many times we warn clients that this is vulnerability it is pretty much guaranteed that around 14.00 I will send him a message saying "hey Pete how are things going?" Only to get a picture back of him reading a 40 K novel inside an elevator somewhere with a very smug grin. 😊 At this point, people normally say - well you can’t do much from inside the elevator can you? ….. well you can wait there till everyone goes home and then steal everything. That’s like a general starting point, every time you press the call button you never know which elevator of the bank will come for you so if you are a security guard doing an end of shift patrol then you are just waiting for any elevator not a specific elevator! so if one has been taken out of service, you will not know.
The amount of slop in those cab gussets are your problem. The cab shouldn't be shifting that much when you manually operate the doors. Allows the cab to shift back and forth while its moving and can trip interlocks.
How do you like those cedes selectors? Ive got a few and they seem super solid. I dont mind GAL stuff but it seems super old school compared to smartrise or pixel stuff
They are okay. Nothing - and i mean absolutely nothing - in the moon proprietary market beats a galaxy 3 that is adjusted properly. They made em too good. G4's have their ghosts just like the rest of them :)
I don't know why, but RUclips has decided that today I'm going to watch this Canadian guy inspect an elevator. I can't say anything against it.
he's pretty good eh? lol
Thanks for watching
Thats spirit
Just seeing people in the hoistway makes me anxious even if they're professionals
despite appearance, the top of that elevator is probably the safest spot to stand in the entire building.
@2kadrenojunkiegaming655 yeah, there's even a guardrail

Not quite talking about falling, it's more all of the crushing hazards for delicate human limbs, but you are right.

those people probably think that there's a ghost in the elevator lol

Everyone under 90 is like " WTF is he talking about ? "
*grabs random-looking handle on the side* Deck 8. *lets go*

@@JohnB-nh8cm I know a guy that told me he been doing maintenance for 20 years and never changed a hanging roller.... 😂
Heres hoping that k400 uses the updated firmware....mousejacking an elevator sounds fun, provided Im not the one in the elevator....
