"The frame weights about two kilos. Our frames weight generally around two kilos, which is equivalent to a high-end steel frame. Like sometimes, we have had one that was a kilo and a half. That was, I think, the lightest. And, like for touring bikes or like someone who is really tall, they can go maybe 2.5 kilos. I think the heaviest we have ever built was like three. So you have to really, really make it thick and robust to get it to three kilos."

    15. SOUNDBITE: (English): Daniel Vogel-Essex, "Ozon Cyclery" co-founder:
"People say steel is real. You know, steel... a steel frame rides really nicely. A lot of people don't like the way that aluminium rides because it's really super stiff and uncomfortable. I want to make a bumper sticker that says 'bamboo is realer.' Like, you start with an aluminium frame, it's really super stiff and uncomfortable. You go to a steel frame and you think 'oh this rides really great', it's really... it's stiff but at the same time it is comfortable to ride. And, with bamboo you can get an even stiffer frame, like torsional stiffness is even better but then the vibration absorption is even better than steel. So its both qualities are better."

    19. SOUNDBITE: (English): Daniel Vogel-Essex: "Ozon Cyclery" co-founder:
"Bamboo is perfect for custom frames. It's perfect for frames where ever frame is different, because every bamboo pole is different. You have the option when you build a bamboo frame to pick the tubing that is perfect for you. The right diameter, the right wall thickness. Which Where. Since every tube is different, then you order one... one stack of bamboo and you got all sorts of different options which is perfect for custom hand building a frame."

    23. SOUNDBITE (German): Robin Gobel, participant in bamboo bike workshop:
"I think when you ride through the city with a normal bike you get ignored. But I have heard from the other people here that with this kind of bike people stop you to speak to you."

    25. Mid tracking shot of cycling; tilt up
    26. SOUNDBITE: (English): Daniel Vogel-Essex, "Ozon Cyclery" co-founder:
"I think it will be easy for us to give a 10-year guarantee on a frame. Right now, if anyone can get one of our frames to break within two years, I would happily sponsor them. Because that means that they are riding a lot. Right?"

There's a pretty big audio issue.
    My two questions are
    1) How do I choose the right tube and how do I treat it properly?
    2) What's the white stuff you used for the joints? Epoxy?

It’s definitely from the idea in Ghana. Now anyone can do this like the Germans. I go with the bamboo from Ghana. Original.
