    RaceChip is a brilliant possibility to increase the performance of a lot of diesel and fuel driven vehicles with only little effort.
    This is yielded by a reasonable mixture of excess performance, increase in torque and fuel savings. The best of all: If your driving behaviour remains the same, the service life of your motor will even be as long as in serial condition.
    Proven a thousand times with a long experience: That's RaceChip.

      Your going to need wider rear tires and if you add the normal(Intake, Exhaust, Downpipes, & Tune) combo, it may be good to get a tuning unit that allows you to adjust boost by gear or trans tune to limit trq by gear. You'll need to experiment with the by gear settings to find that magical setting that allows for optimal hook-up. I have a new M3 Comp XD G80 and its still limited due it not having its first break-in service yet, and the car completely stock & limited is absolutely VIOLENT....
      In 2004 I had an Evo 8 with 525awhp, and it was a few hundred lbs lighter then this G80, but its power was very gradual until around 4000-4500 rpm, whereas the G80 is very close to being instant power. To be twin turbo, BMW did an amazing job mitigating lag with these models. I mean, its not a modern supercharged high performance V8 feel, but its very very close...
      The new M2 will be an amazing machine. Def a great track car and an absolute blast to drive, esp with the typical upgrades. I heard it will have approx 444HP, but considering BMW's history of underrating HP and it also being an S58, I would think it has the same or very similar upside potential as the G80/G82, but a couple hundred lbs lighter. A well funded tuners paradise....
      Gotta give BMW credit for being one of the last auto manufacturers that still keep a finger on the pulse of their customers(for the most part).
      I had a G42 M240i XD that I lucked into because a guy forfeited his build, and it was due to arrive in Late July. However it was delayed a couple months, and wouldnt arrive until the end of Sept, and while I was waiting my salesman called and said he had another client to forfeit his G80 Comp xd and asked if I wanted to upgrade. The car was almost identical to the spec I would have ordered myself, so I pulled the trigger. That said, for a few months I spent my extra "me time" researching the G42 and all upgrade options, so I somewhat grew emotionally attached to that car. I believe the G42 is such an amazing value for what you receive, with such upside potential. With a few simple mods, its very similar to a 1st gen GTR... Amazing to see the progress over the last few years. Its also very affordable, so I believe the G42 will be revered in years to come as a wonderful tuners car, esp once more upgrade options are available, esp those which may help reduce its weight a bit, like carbon fiber panels, sunroof delete carbon fiber roofs, along with engine/sus/brakes etc..
      Def appreciate we have these cars to enjoy.

      @@brianmiller1977 I'm sure with a flash tune the full 520 rwhp will be unlocked on the M2, and rumor is xdrive may be an option. The M4 is just too big and heavy for me

    • @brianmiller1977
      @brianmiller1977 Год назад +1

      @@fzr1000981 Im curious how the new M2 will compare vs the M4 CSL on the track. If IM not mistaken it shares the same platform/foundation as the M4, just slightly altered. M2 is def a better fit for a backwoods driving road car. Ive been a fan of lighter cars myself too, but I for my daily the G80 was more practical as I have kids. I would love for the M2, M2 Comp, or M2 CS to offer an XD option. Purest may disagree, but if you really like pushing cars to their limits on windy roads, you cant beat a stiff bodied AWD with good balance and low center of gravity. M240 is a bit heavy, so perhaps BMW will shave 100-200 lbs off the M2 xd version. We'll see. Either way, BMW finds a way to offer a model for every type of customer, which I respect. I can say the G80 hides its weight very well. It doesnt feel heavy for a salon, but weight is weight and lighter is always better.

    I would really like you guys to show a video on ECO mode. I know we enjoy your guys power mode. But I am very curious if you guys would do like 1/4 tank in standard and 1/4 tank in eco mode on the same route. Just a simple L/100km or (US MPG coinvert nubmers) comparison on the same route. I don't think any body has done a video on this yet. I've seen a stock mpg test was curious.

    Before using my G80 Competition, I have a question
    Does this RaceChip only provide lasting power on shorter rides? Or does it continue to exert its performance even in harsh driving for a long time?
    Is there no heat problem in other parts such as the engine or turbine, while maximizing performance even after continuous harsh driving for more than 2 hours?

    Running are car rich sounds really really bad. Knowledgeable tuners often run cars lean to avoid engine knock in the long run.
    Running rich for a fuel injection engine doesn't sound good for the long term.
    All that aside, a reliable aftermarket ECU sounds impressive.

      Every sports car I've owned has run rich from the factory. When we tune, we don't run lean, we just reduce how rich it runs and stay within acceptable limits. Running lean will end up with you blowing the engine.

    • @n.prince2458
      @n.prince2458 4 месяца назад

      @@edwint1780 your statement is incorrect. You, obviously, have no modified car experience. My uncle, Andre, went to colledge for 4 years and he modifies cars. He build his own shop by hand. I was there with him. I saw him take transmissions and engines apart and put them back together. He said it and agrees. A high performance car must be "detuned" from factory richness levels. You already proven you have no clue. The clueless oftentimes, answer a question with a rude question avoiding the original question. You're not even an honest clueless. At least I stayed by helping my uncle. I was aware I didn't know. I just didnt pretend by jumping on the keyboard with typical public opinion. Your anectdotal rant can not be proven in court. It is a mere fact that running a factory car beyond its intended purpose, something has to give. The tradeoff is one must detune the richness to prevent carbon deposits. Running a modified car faster than it can burn the fuel will lead into issues with fuel injection. Port injection is more impervious for managing those demand. To make a modern modified car practical...one must run a hybrid port injection/fuel injection or for the meantime, turn the richness down a notch...if not exactly lean, to balance out the science with the fuel system. Leaning towards dragster fuel specs by running rich, is impractical for street high performace cars. You sound like a typical street boy racer. A true car enthusiast would know this.
