I installed the RaceChip on my X7 M50i, no doubt about the considerable gains; more importantly, is the fuel economy gains, the 20% advertised is on point.
Yeah I was not to sure about the company until I tired this product. I haven’t tested the MPG claim. It don’t feel like it has changed but I do have a performance car

Total awesome video as usual my friend. Let me ask you this. I see and understand the three maps. How do you put the vehicle in stock mode? I’m really looking forward to seeing your draggy times.
To go into stock mode you will hit the power button within the app and it turns off the maps. You can also set the ECO map to 0 and that is stock also.
thank you very much for the entertaining and informative videos! I just got a 2024 m3 competition, which piggyback tune is best or should I just go straight to unlocking the ecu? I really don't want to lose my warranty
If you want maximum results then go unlock on tune. If you are good with modest gains then a piggyback will get the job done. JB4 is the best for E, 93 Dahler is the strongest but Racechip is the best bang for buck
nice video. I have a question, does the original drive setting on the car still works after you put on the Racechip? or the original setting will not affect anymore, only the exhaust valve will open when a change to sport +?
No it will not effect any of the M drive modes
How does the modes on the app affect the M modes on the car when you switch. Or do you not use them anymore. I have an x4 M and love the ability to change the modes from the steering wheel. Thanks!
It does not effect the M modes at all. The app controls the amount of boost and other parameters on the Racechip.
Damn, I wish they had access ports for these cars. For one thing, it would remove the limiter. Then custom tuning, boy, oh, boy. Thanks for the dyno info.
You can custom tune these cars but you have to unlock the DME first. Plenty of these are well over 700whp

Great video. I just ordered one for my 535i. On my way, Question. What mode would be safe to drive the car on a daily bases. I assume you can’t do race 7 all the time as a daily drive. So which do you thinks
I drove mine in 7 all the time but I would say map 1-5 are fine
What's the deal with the power drop at 6k on the race map? Is the ecu pulling timing or are you getting throttle closer? Looks like roughly 75hp loss up top.
Yeah Racechip sent me another unit and it did not dip like that. I think there was something wrong with that unit.
I don’t have a BMW but would you recommend the RaceChip for a GLC 63? Nice car by the way and good numbers! Is there anything else done to the car or that was just the RaceChip?
I would if you want a quick plug and play solution for some power. A tune is always going to be better tho. Car is stock otherwise

If you are only going to use pump gas then go Racechip. If you want to use E, go JB4
Hi, I saw some forum said RaceChip will trigger some fault code on ECU/DME level, did you check this via obd2 after you installed this plug and play box ? Thanks
I had a code pop up once, cleared it and never had another issue
question the piggyback do the same function as a boost controller I mean is take the power from the turbo? and if is like that you can use both?
No need for a boost controller. The piggy backs do a little more than just control boost. It is not safe to just increase boost without alternating other parameters
Quick question, with this mods, does it still pass emission inspection in NC? What to do if I encounter the inspection issue?
Yes it does. As long as you don’t touch the Downpipes you are good. Also in Nc your only do visual inspection on new cars for the first 3 years.

So…. Most piggybacks can go undetected but there is still a risk. I am not worried about the engine messing up. It would be the supporting parts or software that I would be worried about.

I have took my car to the service center once since install. I removed the box and they did not say anything.
What about JB4 vs Race Chip? JB4 hooks up the to the ODBII port for supposed more gains and monitoring to push more...is that really a thing?
I have a video on my channel where we dyno the JB4. On the street me and my buddy raced and it was a tie. It hooks to the OBD port so you can log and use other features.

Ok yeah just let me know. I will be at the Kies Auto show this month in NJ. Well you can do more with the JB4 like e85 and other things. Racechip is more of a plug it up and leave it type of thing. Depends on how much you want to do.

Yep
They need to give us an E30 or an E50 blend tune. I'm still stock right now in my F97 competition and as far as I know Burger are the only ones doing E blends and there's a station with E right by my house.
Agree w/ this. E30 is safe for stock fuel system and will up the octane to about 95. Pretty sure the RC was designed for 95 octane (Europe). I'd hazard??? that E30 will make more power w/ RC...FWIW.
@@louknapp4257 it specifically said that you should not use fuel more than E15 in your X3M. The fuel system is not designed for E30. People just do not care about their cars and factory warranty.

I know Racechip has been around for awhile and they warranty any engine up to $10k they had on a Racechip module. That makes me feel a little better about it. I can’t really speak on long term reliability because I just got it. JB4 is good also if you want to play around with some fueling.

Bone stock. No issues as these cars can handle it up to a point. I have tuned all of my BMWs and never had any of those issues. It is only when you start chasing big power. This race chip is a modest bump.

So I have an install video on my channel as well you can look at to see if you can do it. If you have basic car skills you can do it or any shop can do it. Any mod has a chance to void your warranty. You have to ask your dealership

Depends if you want more power. Full bolt on with the Racechip I made 570 wheel on pump 93. Full unlock tune on 93 gets you around 605 wheel

They are quoting crank gains. Most companies do that. At the crank it gained a little more than 120HP

I think it is $120-150 for 3 runs. Depending on if you are RWD or AWD

Any modification can void warranty. They have to prove that your mod caused the issue to reject your claim. Most people just take it off when they go in but they can probably still see traces of the chip in the CPU

Man that is some good numbers. I have heard you can run a piggy back with a flash tune. So maybe run this with the bootmod when it comes available.
Yes the numbers are impressive. There really is not reason to run a piggyback when you have a flash tune. If your tune is good then it should not need any assistance. I know some people did it to manage E content but it is safer to have a custom tune built for that.
The real question is how are you pushing 568whp and Thic whips supra which is pushing 500whp still beat you????

@@WhatsyourForte i get the weight difference! However, the G80 M3 weighs about 3800 pounds, and the supra weighs around 3400 pounds. Thats a 400 pound difference.
Btw the car is doing amazing numbers, I’m just saying the supra should be breakfast specially that your car is tuned
@@MrSchneider911 I thought the Supra was 3300… also I weigh 330lbs while Thic is just 175lbs. So that adds on it also. In the 40roll I was not in boost so I needed to be in a different gear. Once I learn the car it will be closer
