I tried this and failed miserably lol. I feel like there are some steps that are messing like he said put the cloud in multiply then a few seconds later it’s in darken mode which is really confusing as he didn’t mention it. Did anyone else have this problem?
Can't figure it out as well. There does seem to be steps missing. When I'm using soft brush on the headshot area to bring the city scape through, it's also painting black over the cloud layer
Sorry it should be multiply (clouds, that is: though it also works with darken). Here is the layer order top to bottom and the blend modes: Birds (Dc), Clouds (M), Headshot (Li), City (N), Background (N). Also I have attached links to all the images in the description! Good luck 👍🏽
It was a bit confusing For me too..it worked better using darken so the city wouldn't show through the clouds then the head shot had a clean finish👌

Great tutorial! It only took me around 30 minutes (I’m getting used to photoshopping on Procreate) and it was really easy once I got the hang of it! I’m actually planning on doing something like this for my final in my photography class, so it’s nice to get some practice ahead of time. :)

Hey Rishi, I don't have procreate, I do have Ibis Paint though. And even though it's easy to do this kind of stuff in procreate, it's not possible in Ibis Paint. I would really appreciate it if you could make some tutorials in Ibis paint too! As lots of people like me can't buy Procreate, We'd really appreciate it if you could make tutorials on Ibis Paint since it's the best free drawing app on the store.

Use autodesk sketch book... Its free on the app store and works better than ibis paint
@@idiot3566 you can use lasso tool if you don't know about the layer blending options
@@christinafernandez4498 I have used sketchbook and its not as good as Ibis paint X it lags behind behind due to limitation in brushes and you can use it only for illustration

i used to do stuff like this for tumblr on photoshop and it used to take hours. the fact that you can do it so quickly with an ipad is really cool.

Hi Rishi, Thank you very much! I did this technique. Awesome. Just a heads up, I guess you forgot to mention to turn the cloud mode to ‘darken’ after step 3. All is good to go! Lovin’ these shorts anyway. Fun to follow!
It actually should be multiply even though in the vid you see me do darken. But it works with either mode- I prefer multiply for my final piece! Glad it helped!
