There are no national standards for police training or fitness. It is also not required to have a four year degree in Administration of Justice in the U.S. to serve as a police officer
I worked with both city and county police for 25 years. That is one officer that needs whole lot more training before he's allowed to interact with the public again.
Can you provide some input? I have done a lot of research on the difference between city and county police because I am interested in law enforcement and I found really that they are very different in their own ways, such as deputies handling courts or jails, but I can't necessarily say if county or city is better or more trained than the other. Can you advise?

I worked with both city and county police for 25 years. That is one officer that needs whole lot more training before he's allowed to interact with the public again.

I have done a lot of research on the difference between city and county police because I am interested in law enforcement and I found really that they are very different in their own ways, such as deputies handling courts or jails, but I can't necessarily say if county or city is better or more trained than the other. Can you advise?
