  • During the first weekend of March 2024, over two dozen runners participated in the David Goggins 4x4x48 Challenge on Cape Cod.
Participants used the challenge as preparation for Heroes In Transition's (HIT) 9th Annual Ruck4HIT, scheduled for April 26--27, 2024. The Ruck4HIT is a 36-hour relay race in which runners wear a weighted rucksack and run 2- to 4-mile legs before switching off with a teammate. The Ruck4HIT starts in Bourne and runs through all 15 towns on Cape Cod.
The rucksack is symbolic of the burdens our region's military carries with them in service to our country.
A number of this year's 4x4x48 Challenge participants wore rucksacks as they set out to run 4 miles ever 4 hours over the course of 48 hours, starting on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 11 PM. The challenge ended with a 4-mile run on Sunday, march 3, 2024 at 7 PM from Shipwrecked Restaurant in Falmouth Heights.
Participants helped raise awareness and funds to support HIT's programs which provide assistance to service members, veterans, and military families on Cape Cod, the Islands and beyond. To make a donation to the 4x4x48 Challenge, visit raceroster.com....
