They love gossip, and they love bringing someone down or at least watching someone being brought down - just for them to feel better about their own shitty life. There is a huge insatisfaction and deeply rooted unhappiness in Korea. Not sure if it's because of their extreme poverty some decades ago. But even people from the poorest countries of Europe or Central America are less attached to"owning" and having money than Koreans. Koreans are also obsessed with how others see them. They are extreme in that regard! And I am talking about normal Koreans here, the general population, and not neccessarily about a particular idol.
