What a joyful and wonderful testimonial from Paul! I’m so very happy for him! Gotta love that he went for a hike under the full moon 🌕 too. Beautiful. What a cool guy! Paul, if you ever see this, thank you for sharing!
20:58 Absolutely amazing. This is why I’m ditching bands and am switching to isometrics. Why do anything else when this works for strength and is so safe! Why isn’t this more popular?
i'm paul's age and recently bought the iso trainer and your book, matt. what a great testimonial by paul. paul's experimentation has really worked for him, great to hear...
Coolest thing about your podcast: the guests. Every "popular" podcast nowadays features the same guests, who are on some sort of podcast circuit about their new book or to share stories about how they made their first million dollars. It's great that you feature REAL people, Matt. It actually works to illustrate these principles you promote so well.
Matt - have you ever used a powerball (gyroball) for isometrically training the wrist/forearms? Takes a while to get used to but this is so effective for rehabilitation as well as building strength and muscle. The same company that produces these also make the powerspin, which admittedly I thought would be a bit of a gimmick, but actually works incredibly well and just 10 minutes with this really pumps the blood into the muscles. These tools I think are best for warming up and rehabilitation. If you get chance to try them out I'd be interested to hear your thoughts. I've recently purchased the Ionic, which is kind of a two-handed powerball that works most of the upper body. Worth checking out.
@mhs, would this be good for someone with wrist tendonitis? I don’t have great grip strength due to tendonitis, and I can’t even do deadlifts, because it’s too hard to hold the barbell, and it flares up my tendonitis.
@@paulteerlinck4211 You sound great! What pleasant music. ☺️ Thank you for sharing your testimonial! I am SO happy for you!! I hope it’s continuing to go well!
I am 48 years old and I just loved this interview. Makes me feel good to know that I have another 30+ years of isometrics.
Right there with you!! Mid 40s, and after getting injured with bands, I’m ditching those and changing to isometrics!

18:27 Wow!!! That is amazing!! I love that not only can isometrics strengthen & build muscle, but it rehabs also!!! 🎉
That's one impressive rehabilitation testimony 👏. You're both doing a great job of selling the overcoming isometrics concept 😊
@@darylmckay It sells itself. There's an endless number of options for working out this way. I keep discovering more and more ways to move forward.

I agree with this!!
Just subscribed yesterday , do you have a good basic calestenics video to get a routine going?

I would have liked to hear him play his guitar.
Just type in Paul Teerlinck on RUclips and you can find a lot of me playing a guitar!😂
