Fr I’m glad I’m not the only one that was like wait a minute lol but seriously this battle theme is amazing when’s it plays I turn my volume full blast because it’s more epic and awesome that way
100% yet some ppl won’t play this because it doesn’t fit final fantasy it’s only single player so imo it still has that final fantasy feeling too it and man the story in FFXVI is amazing!!
@@outright4697 I understand the people wanting it to be turn based, because i do too, but the last few mainline FF's have been so bad and im glad they finally focused on what they actually wanted, which was epic action combat.
@daneespenpcilla Someone already did it! ruclips.net/video/1aEwBHRgbUI/видео.html The guy who did the music for this game was one of the people who worked alongside Nobuo Uematsu on FF8, so it's a pretty natural transition, as he learned directly from Nobou. That why this soundtrack is SO GOOD - it's very reminiscent of the older games, albeit with a full orchestra.
@@pagus6616 just for accuracy purpose. Masayoshi may not be there yet when the original "Don't be afraid" was produced in FF8, but he sure did in FFXIV version of Don't be afraid.
Everyone saying the beginning has strong FF8 vibes (which it does), but the middle part is basically the Eureka battle theme from FF14. I can never forget that song after spending so long in that gods forsaken place lol. Pretty cool how Soken has combined those two old FF tracks into something new for FF16.
The intro has the same distinct chord progression and 5/4 rhythm as FF8's battle theme, but that's about it. Many FF16 OST tracks feel like they are stitched together from multiple distinct parts, just like this one. I'm all for it though, I think it's really cool that melodies from another track appear in unexpected places in another :)
Ff13 was one of my least liked FF game, but that boss theme is an S tier boss theme. Before I lost complete interest in the game it did exactly what it needed to, amped me up. I remembered completely goofing off the first time you hear it, just so I could listen to it. Loved it instantly
@@CeviRavage Lol yeah I spent a lot of time in Eureka back in the day completing my relic and elemental armor. That song is burned into my memory too! I did think it was pretty cool that Soken included that part of the melody, I'm sure a lot of FF14 fans got a kick out of hearing it again :P
Thanks for the kind words! Soken & SE have probably more of both mixing talent and VST budget than me, so the overhyped sound must be a desired goal for them. In case you or anyone else is interested, this track is mostly Spitfire Symphonic Orchestra and Albion Iceni.
Your orchestral recordings are the best. I am a Japanese violinist. I played using this sound source of yours. If I post your RUclips address and promote it, can I put out a performance video on my RUclips? Please give me permission.
I hear you, doing music that's this loud and hyped is a new territory for me. I took a different approach to the next two action themes from XVI, hopefully they don't suffer from the same fate :)
As someone who's favorite FF battle theme was Don't be Afraid, I was gitty every time the song started.
Yeah, don't be afraid is nice too
haha yea the start always reminded me of that as well
The beginning gives me ff8 vibes

It is from FF8 "Don't be afraid" is the name of the OST.
Just by hearing this, I understand that FINAL FANTASY is finally back.

yeah, as soon as i played ff16 and the eureka part sounded i got ptsd about pazuzu
Honestly the start reminds me of FFXI's battle theme
0:50 the first 8 bells
3:05 the last 8 bells
Good catch ;) I think Soken has a sense of humour and its intentional
This gives HARD FF8 vibes. I love that folks giving ff8 a shout out
1:44 the somber music is so amazing ahhh i love it so much 💚💚💚
Magistral!!! FF8 - FF16 the same style yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!
This is so epic
Oh that memories of bad timed dodges and eating dirt. :D

Thank God this exists. After dawnfail, I needed some real final fantasy.
Wish the game included variations of this theme. This fits Sanbreque or Waloed much better
So good!
What is the music that starts at 1:26? It sounds pretty familiar?
Almost all melodies in this track play in other battle music in XVI, apart from that I don't know if Soken picked up the melody from somewhere.
This would be from Eureka in FFXIV! 😁

I like this more than original. Sounds like you have either better VST library or just better mixing/layering

Good😊
Gives me ffxi vibes
Reminds FF8 battle theme
if you drive listening this theme your productive day increase +1000000
Its good but lacks the “weight” of the original and ends up feeling flat

Notthistime
Too slow
The main theme has already instruments and it sounds like an orchestra, I don't see the point in this one.
this actually orchestra? Or just synth made to sound like orchestra?
Somewhere in between, orchestral sample VSTs
this is the song from the taco bell dlc
👍👍👍👍👍🥹
For most un FF game the soundtrack is very FF
