Thanks for taking the time to record and share this! I'm looking for this exact solution and B&H told me it wasn't possible to fire a Sony a9 with a PW unit. :-)
Sure thing, yeah all you need is the cord from PW.
Mike T, it is possible as well as with ATG & Canon RT system.
Ask Alzo Digital, CT for the awesome East Coast mod, repair & support by ATG.
My staff & I were able to use Canon 600EX-RT, Canon 600EX II-RT on Sony.
But the ATG Gold system is better.
Which pocket wizard should I buy? link please And how do you set it up as a remote camera? the focus? the aperture? iso? etc
Hi, this looks good and I’ve setup my Sony A9 and A7RIII with two plus iii’s and cables. If I press the test button or use a third Pocketwizard to trigger the cameras (like your showing), it works a treat. But when I’m using a camera (either one) for action and want it to trigger the other camera I only get 2-3 FPS rather than the full speed. Does it work for you? Thanks.
Pixel DJ Photography are all cameras in mechanical shutter? A9 is slower in mechanical. A9 has to stay in electronic shutter
I camt get it to shoot unless im holding down the focus button on the a9.
Ordered the cord for a7riii, can I shot in bulb mode?
I don't think much of the person operating the video camera! Can you redo this with a video camera on a tripod ? Sorry, but there is no structure in your video. All we saw was the remote operation of the sony cameras when you pressed the test button.
Most important I missed, didn't hear or it wasn't mentioned, where did you buy the synch cables? Sorry to be so open bur surely it is better to hear the truth rather than fairy tales?
John Doe you clearly don't know what the hell you're talking about. 5 seconds into the video I said where to get the cable and also provided a link. Do it yourself since you're the professional and know all about structure. If you don't understand what I'm talking about in this video you should probably stick to shoot flowers.
Does it allow you to use hss with the cord?
Im not using HSS, i have a fast shutter speed on my cameras but not releasing any flashes
Not with that set.
But if you really need and shoot HSS, then get ATG's.
They have lights up to ATG ADI TTL up to 2,000ws!
And it ATG wireless 2.4GHz TTL and camera remote trigger setup available.
Does it sync at 1/250th?
