Cocoa has not had much time to get used to her booties. It has warmed up enough to not need them so she is relieved. It was very funny watching her reaction though. Hope you have a wonderful month of stitching in February. Dena

I laughed so hard at Cocoa’s reaction to the boots 😂 So uncoordinated and stepping like her paws were in treacle! Let’s hope that it warms up soon so that she doesn’t have to wear them! I think that it will be easier all round. Congratulations on your finishes, and lovely stitching as always xxx
Joanne, she froze the first few times and only tried to take steps really when I was holding out treats for her to obtain. LOL. We had to be so careful not to laugh at her during the time she was wearing the boots. But I confess we watched the video later and laughed so hard! Tommy is sending the boots back. LOL. Dena

Dena beautiful stitching. So glad you gals had a great time at your retreat. Cocoa is so precious...oh those boots. I just heard on TV about conditioning dogs paws in the winter, I've never heard of that, but it makes sense as they are walking on very cold pavement. Have a good week!
Robin, yes my hubby was reading about the temperature effecting the streets and that being harmful to dog's feet, so he ordered the boots. However, we have very little weather that cold and I think he would prefer just to lay with Cocoa in the basement during those few cold days. She did not enjoy the boots at all. LOL. Dena

Oh my gosh! Miss Cocoa looks so sad with her new shoes! I hope she likes them soon! My grand pup does this with his harness. He freezes until I carry him to the door. He prefers leash to collar. Glad you had a good time at your cabin retreat and got a good amount of stitching done.
Cocoa is great about wearing jackets I've made her and her harness, but the shoes were a no go! LOL. Dena

Glad you enjoyed your stitching retreat and the company you were with. The finishes are certainly coming along this year so far. I have just ordered the Little House Needleworks’s chart as the phrase Always and Forever has been a saying my husband and I always use, so I also hope to stitch by our anniversary in July. I am upto date with your videos , hoping now I can just each one as it is posted. Cocoa and the boots 😂😂

Cocoa cracked me up with her boots. I put one only on a front & back foot so they had to walk. They got used to them quickly. Its always funny...like they stepped in something...lol

What I do when it comes to Back Stitching - I just used one strand of DMC 310 for all of my Back Stitching. I never ever follow the Instructions for Back Stitching. The Black makes everything stand out more.

Beautiful finishes this time, especially your framed piece. Love it! Cocoa was so funny. I can imagine what she must have been thinking! I’m a New Englander so I know the cold can be awful on their feet. We just got out of the single digits. Hopefully she will get used to wearing them.

I did my own YOW as well... I definitely do not like how much time posting and documenting takes up, but I love the motivation I get from playing the games and challenges we do with our stitching!

Sharon, much like your dog, I don't think Cocoa will adapt well to the booties. Now that it has warmed up a bit, we have given her a reprieve and she isn't being tortured by them. LOL. Dena

Linda, so glad you liked the Adventurine fabric with the variation in the floss. I felt it was a great combo! Don't worry, Cocoa doesn't know we laughed at her. We made sure we didn't until we watched the video later, not in her presence. LOL. Dena

I finally started stitching. It’s going well , I only had to frog twice.
I’m stitching “Bee in my Bonnet Stitch Card set V”. It’s fun , but I like sewing better. I guess I don’t have enough patience. I can sew something and be done in an hour or less. I’m going to keep stitching. Once I’m done I’ll email you a picture. ( I’m not on instagram.)
Poor Cocoa I feel so sorry about her reaction to her boots. Once she gets use to wearing them she’ll want to wear them all the time. So cute.❤Happy stitching.

Thanks for sharing with us. We're in Chicago area and it's been really cold here. Wish my little one would wear booties. It was quite a job getting her zip up coat on her this year, but finally got it mastered. Maybe next year we'll try the booties. My "Winnie" froze that that when I put her coat and harness on, Too funny!!!!
We are doing well with the jackets, coats, etc. It was just hose silly booties, Cocoa said NOPE! Not Moving! LOL. Dena

Marion, I am assuming your attempt to get your pouch in booties went sort of like ours with Cocoa! Thankfully it has warmed up enough that she doesn't need them, so we are sending them back. We have so few days that cold that we will just keep her inside and play ball in the basement on those days. LOL. Dena

Hi Dena, I’m catching up this video after already watching the next which you’ve already posted, somehow I missed one. I always enjoy sitting and doing my stitching while you share yours, it’s a bit like having a friend over for tea and crafting. On that note I’d like to ask if you can give another tour of your craft room/stitching area. My own is small just a wall in my bedroom, but very comfortable with large windows looking out to my bird feeders. I love to sew with sunshine especially in our cold Wisconsin winters I need to soak up daylight in any way possible. I keep much of my craft storage in bins under the bed and in a utility room in larger bins and shelving. I’m always interested in seeing how others sort and organize their areas to be comfortable and functional.
Edit: You always seem so organized in your WIPs and how do you organize those? Seems you must be flipping through them in a way that makes it easy to find your fit prompts.

Tammy, the service man at the dealership called today and said they need to replace the entire engine. It is a defect in that model and should be covered under warranty. Let's hope so! Right now our son has submitted documents to prove he owns the car, etc. so they can process the claim. Still waiting.......
You got a lot done during your retreat! So many pretty finishes! Is Cocoa doing better with her boots now? Usually once they get out and about they settle in with them.

OK, as always, you’re stitching is beautiful, but I came here specifically to watch the end of this video. Her look on her face when you guys have those booties on her front paws and back paws is priceless. She is something else her personality. Reminds me of my dog Ari, which makes me think that she has some sort of terrier doodle in her because she has the same mannerisms, but the look on her face on Coco‘s face. I’m dying laughing. Yes, I did in fact. There is a category entitled Corrections but when I clicked on it, the message says "Coming soon".
Dena, does Always and Forever have any quarter stitches or specialty stitches? I love it but I am an Aida stitched . my husband and I will be married 40 years in may. Your framed piece is beautiful.
The Always and Forever does not have any half or quarter stitches that I recall.....just cross stitches. It is a quick stitch. I highly recommend for you as an Aida stitcher. Dena
Maybe put on the boots and take her out for a walk, so she’s motivated to push thru the different feelings
