I prefer smaller chests, not too small, but not big. I find small chests to not get nerfed as much as time goes on. Plus they are typically more balanced.
re: 10:00 there is one area I can think of which is single-combat where multiple monsters attack you: Kalrag's lair in the Underground Pass. After killing the giant spider Kalrag, ALL of the surrounding spiders attack you, even though it's in single combat. Also, in Pyramid Plunder you can have multiple mummies stalking you, but since those are spawned by other players, those can't attack you. However, this makes me think perhaps if you have a swarm AND mummy spawned to the same player, in the same room, it might be another situation where this happens.
Barrows as well. If the last brother spawns in the tunnels while opening the doors and you keep spamming the doors, there's a chance another last brother spawns and starts attacking as well. Then you have two last brothers attacking you simultaneously in a single combat area.
the zealots probably use similar jank to nechryael death spawns, which are notoriously silly. fun fact about the death spawns: you can just straight up log out/hop worlds while they're attacking you. i wouldn't be surprised if the same is true for undead zealots.
The small amount of runes are holdovers from before runecrafting existed. Runes were hard to come by. This is why the ardougne chests give nature runes as well
Man I love the janky old mechanics in this game, feels like there’s so much hidden below a surface level play through. The informational style of this video was refreshing and cool
You can be under attack by a nechryael and a death spawn at the same time in the slayer tower. Cool thing also, is if you are only under attack by a death spawn, it doeant count as combat and you can still log out.
Theres a chest in the stranglewood mining area thatll teleport you to a small island surounded by lava south east of mount karulm ir whatever its called. The weird thing is when you get teleported and try again itll tell you theres no need to do that again... weird.
I like this video style, it reminds me of the way Josh isn't gaming presents his random Yanille facts in his onechunk series, which i also really enjoy
For Graardor not dropping Ourg bones: My guess is that the ones we loot were prepared in a special way (the colored wrap and such) that his being well... Not, is why they're just plain big bones. Saying that: Having the priests of Jiggig be able to prepare his bones for a roll at the special ogre bones might be a neat thing.
The undead zealot behavior is very similar to enemies that spawn when you do clue scrolls, to the point that I think they just reuse the same code. Whenever you get a wizard/double agent/etc from a clue step, even if you're in combat and in a singles combat area, the npc will be able to target you. I suspect that if you were able to get multiple of these npcs nearby they would have the same behavior of being able to attack you simultaneously in singles.
In barrows. More then 1 of the barrows brothers can attack you at one time if you somehow spawn them in the same room. This normally happens with the exact same barrows brother being spawned twice.
Totally random instance of multiple monsters being able to attack you in singles: I'm pretty sure that when you kill the giant spider during underground pass the small spiders attack you as if it were multi despite actually being a singles area. Im doing the quest on my gim soon so i can try to recreate it again
another example of the single target area where multiple NPC's can attack you is the spider lair in the underground pass. When you kill the big spider all the small spiders jump you.
In forgetable tale quest you learn about chaos dwarves working with ogre shamans. Obviously the dwarves didn't wan't to be spotted in Gu'tanoth so they hid in the chest. I bet there's Ogre shamans in keldagrim chests somewhere.
Great video!! The editing and narration flow super well :) I think you did a phenomenal job with the new style. Hope this gets some attention and maybe we can see more like it.
Wonder what happens if you go to a pvp world and get someone to teleblock you. Would the teleporting chests still trigger? Probably less useful on the chests with long cooldowns but could be interesting if it works on the isle of souls chest
If you're even in need of updates join my disc in the video descriptions, had a rough month but without going into details - First week of April -> 3rd week of April are the next 2 episodes!
I believe I tested this back in October but it may be a fake memory... And it still teleports you... But I don't have confirmation in my head, may need to go re-test
I wanted to test it out with something familiar as 1. It helped improve my editing a ton! 2. It was fun, and 3. I like the style of video c: Gotta take some risks and make some tests!
Pfft, these kind of videos are the bread and butter. Series interest tends to stall out, but fun information on our childhood games is always interesting.
Huh, i remember graador getting changed to drop ourg bones back when i played rs 2. Looked it up on the wiki and sure enough it does. So its in rs 3, but i guess that never got back ported to osrs.
What if one was to teleblock self on an alt prior to using the "blood rune chest" or will it still teleport you? Either way a teleblock could work in your favour to loot or escape.
So in your chest series..... Would you be able to loot those Npc's drops since the Npcs come - from the chest - thus by the transitive property it's legal? 😂😅
I believe I tested this back in October but it may be a fake memory... And it still teleports you... But I don't have confirmation in my head, may need to go re-test
This is fair - I feel like a few risks are a great way to see what works, and keeping it within the chest niche hopefully helps the video! I mainly did it to improve my editing skills and storytelling pacing, as well as test the waters with the style of video
Honestly, im probably the outlier here. It was good information, and well presented. If it performs well and has good engagement then don't let my opinion steer you away from doing it more. Tbh I do love obscure facts about runescape, and I will watch videos like this all the time. I think I just got baited into thinking it was a new episode and it soured the taste when it wasn't.

good evening to all chest enthusiasts
I’m a ass man
I’ve been a chest enthusiast for my entire life, and my enthusiasm only grows.
I prefer smaller chests, not too small, but not big. I find small chests to not get nerfed as much as time goes on. Plus they are typically more balanced.
Hell yeah

I had this same though, idk if it's actually singles/multi there but that's absolutely the most likely culprit
Maybe it has to do with the same problem as the Hemenster chest ID.

General Graardor does indeed drop ourg bones in Rs3. But to make them unique to him they're called "Ourg Bones (General Graardor)"
To add, it was changed in an April 2009 update from big bones to ourg bones.
Man I love the janky old mechanics in this game, feels like there’s so much hidden below a surface level play through. The informational style of this video was refreshing and cool
Janky old mechanics good

Ohhh I actually used this during the quest originally...
@@Tellacon oh i havent done it so I wouldnt know.
I like this video style, it reminds me of the way Josh isn't gaming presents his random Yanille facts in his onechunk series, which i also really enjoy
i think these are called video essays
If you double spawn a barrows brother by repeatedly going through a door, and they both spawn in the same room, they can both attack you.
I noticed this on stream the other day after writing that section, one normal npc + brothers can hit you too!
For Graardor not dropping Ourg bones: My guess is that the ones we loot were prepared in a special way (the colored wrap and such) that his being well... Not, is why they're just plain big bones.

Absolutely loved this video. Gimmie all the chest lore!
Nice video. There are some instances where some NPCs attacking you can PJ and ignore single combat, such as barrows.

Hitting that Sara Brew drop is a high I'll never forget. It got me hooked on Konar slayer, the drop table now isn't even that bad
another example of the single target area where multiple NPC's can attack you is the spider lair in the underground pass. When you kill the big spider all the small spiders jump you.
Another one I thought about is Barrows, as the barrows brother and one npc can hit you
Brings the chest to light. Jagex dev’s: It’s just a bug.
You should totally test if you can be teleported by the teleporting chests when teleblocked
Superb video! Happy to see more of this style or your usual series, both are great!
Thankyou
General Graardor is the last living Ourg because the Ourgs in Gu'Tanoth are Undead.
Nechryael spawns function the same way as those Zombies, they can attack you in single combat with the Nech
My brain just disregards these 😂
love this series :)
I think the spiders in the Underground Pass can pile you in single combat when you kill Kalrag, but it's been awhile.
I love vids like these same vibe as josh's weird yanille facts.
Killing it with the content lately🔥🔥
You know it 🔥🔥
In forgetable tale quest you learn about chaos dwarves working with ogre shamans.
Obviously the dwarves didn't wan't to be spotted in Gu'tanoth so they hid in the chest.

Time to get hunting 👀
I learned some fun chest facts today!
Maybe the anti blink item will make it so a chest can't teleport you?
Do chest teleports work if you are teleblocked?
@@charlesgoode6058 exactly my thoughts! Needs to be tested in a pvp world, bring your most expensive gear! :D
Rs3 general graardor DO drop ourg bones
Oh this is cool
the spiders during underground pass i think can all attack you when you kill the mother
Yo, another video in less than a week! Really like this informational style.
Thought I'd at least try it out
Great video loved format and everything,
damn i was hoping for some progress but it was just commentary about chests :(
I went from uploading chest locked every 5 weeks to having 2 chest locked eps this month! Let me off
Great video, love the editing and topic, looking forward to future videos.
Graardor actually drops Ourg bones on RS3, funnily enough.
Very interesting and great pacing
When Revenant locked back?
I have been playing it 👀

Huge compliment thankyou

very cool thank you chest locked!!
Who the fuck at jagex thought "Let's add a drop of saradomin brews to the chest. 2500 sounds about right!"
Where's the chest videos man I'm feening

@@Tellacon Hope everything alright
love this series!
What it you use a ball of wool on a cat and open the chest at the same time, it changed the loot drop on a certain NPC when done
Such a neat video!
I wonder id tele-block would stop the teleport
There is only one way to find out...
Solid video! Would watch more of this style ong no cap frfr

I, too, am a chest loving ogre
Love the chest series
Love this new style, friendo! Keep up the good work!

what happens if you are teleblocked? Would you get teleported in that case or not?
I believe I tested this back in October but it may be a fake memory... And it still teleports you... But I don't have confirmation in my head, may need to go re-test
The chest with the steel arrow tips can’t be failed when using a hair pin instead of a lock pick from wizard towers quest .
This is hilarious
What happens if you get tbed and open the chests?
Hell yeah entertainment for dinner tonight!!! 😊
I'm not sure this kind of video will be for everyone as it's quite niche but definitely a good supplement to go alongside the main series
First video I've seen from this channel and I thought it was great personally. Gonna go and watch the series now!
they kidnap the dwarfs from ZMI
Huh, i remember graador getting changed to drop ourg bones back when i played rs 2. Looked it up on the wiki and sure enough it does. So its in rs 3, but i guess that never got back ported to osrs.
We’re deep in the lore.
Nechryaels and their spawns can all attack you in a singles area right? So the zealots aren't the only ones.
This is a good one!
Its singles-plus (which applies as Singles to mobs) but the Calvarion dogs can both attack you at once.@@Tellacon
how about the exam centre chest that changes between three separate ids
What if one was to teleblock self on an alt prior to using the "blood rune chest" or will it still teleport you? Either way a teleblock could work in your favour to loot or escape.
Amazing chest!!
Do you still get teleported by the chest near the ogres if you are teleblocked?
Bunny slayer here I feel like I prompted this video lol JK😂
CUMGLAZEDTITTYS!
What if you look the chests in pvp world and got teleblocked
Been testing this a lot lately, still teleports you

Should verify barrows chests. I swear I have had rats or skels still hitting me after opening and getting in combat with the brothers
