I was a bit amazed that you mentioned train station, that is the least used means of transportation in our country, if anyone plans to visit Romania, I'd advise not to use the trains, they are the worst.

Really! I’m planning a winter trip this year. Are the trains unreliable then? Why would you not recommend them? I was planning maybe a train from Bucharest to Peles castle and then a train to Brasov. Does anyone know if that’s possible? Appreciate a locals input. Thanks

@@fw2561 Due to corruption in Romania the railway system, trains and everything related was ignored in the past 30+ years.
There are buses available in most of the areas and almost at the same ticket cost/price.
Depending where you're flying from - we now have an airport here in Brasov that opened recently, but not sure though as to what air companies fly here since I've heard from the local media is only 12 hours schedule because of virtual air control tower. (I believe the airport opened this month, so they are still working on things)
You can also go with your initial plan, just be aware and except soviet era trains that are always late and unreliable with worst conditions possible.
