I was always intrigued by the character of Richard on 'Lost'. The ageless factor really helped to add more mystery to a show that was already steeped in mystery.
Right alongside of 'Lost', 'Battlestar Galactica' was airing at the same time. These two shows still hold two spots out of my all-time top three favorite shows ever (the order depending on what day you ask me... 'Stranger Things' has since been added to this short list.) What's interesting to me was the near-opposite approaches the creators and writers of 'Lost' and 'Battlestar Galactica' took to making their respective shows... or so I had always been led to believe until watching this clip. I had always heard that the writers of 'Lost' did, in fact, know how the story would play out, unlike what was described by Nestor in this clip, unless you count the 'opening the show on Jack's eye, and closing the show on Jack's eye' as 'mapped out'... Whereas the writer's of 'BSG' said they essentially were often making their story up as they went. Kristian... from your conversations with Katie from BSG, do you happen to have any more insight on this? In any case... it's interesting how the creative process can potentially look very different, but still produce some of, if not the best, television ever.
3:03 you'd absolutely understand why he'd have thought that.....but as we would all eventually discover, that just didnt seem to be a priority to the point where it was completely abandoned by the showrunners at every opportunity that presented itself. 👨🏼🦯⛔️ 📦❕️
