Succinct! Thanks for sharing! Just to add that for CDI: there are visa types that allow for longer term residence permit. The passport talent salarié gives a renewable 4 year residence permit/titre de sejour.
Licence professionel simply is a professional bachelors degree, where you got a degree having taught only what is needed in the particular work domain … a licence Pro holder cannot applied for a masters except if the masters is also tagged professionel
I appreciate your content. very informative but there are some elements of your information that needs clarification. First, you can’t be a citizen after 5 years, Secondly, it’s important to highlight France is a FRENCH country and you have to speak the language to live well. Getting a JOB without speaking french is almost impossible, would say it’s about 2%. I live in France and for 10 years 😊
Hi Kess! Thanks for your comment. Yes, you can become a citizen after 5 years, if you check the description box of the video, you'd see links to the French government website that lists the requirements. Secondly, I personally know more than 2 people who have become citizens from being international students. Also, I believe it goes without saying that France is a French country LOL, the language is literally named after the country and every adult (applying for Bachelors or Master's) should know this. Again, in my videos I have emphasised that it is possible to get English speaking jobs AND that they are highly competitive and dependent on one's industry - not that English-speaking jobs are everywhere. But still, thanks for your input, hoping to see more of you around here ❤️.
Does PhD track (masters+PhD integrated ) study period of 5 years counts in 5 year residence criteria if we directly get the job after it. And we speak c1 level french ,no social benifits opted from state,no criminal record, everything is good. So in 6th year,I will able for french citizenship
Hi thanks for uploading the video . Its very informative . I would appreciate if you could please let me know whether the duration of stay as a student counts towards getting the citizenship or PR ?In short whether they count the time stayed in the country as a student ?
If you're a full time student who lived in the country during the duration of the course, it will. There are courses that only require people to come to France once a quarter or so, those won't count towards it.
Thank you for the video. My question is related to the « renewal of the titre de séjour ». Let’s say you are an international master student in France and you live with your girlfriend who is French, will that cause a problem during the renewal of your « student titre de séjour » knowing that they will ask you if you are in a domestic partnership?
Hi Godfirst, unfortunately I don't know anything about domestic partnerships or what they affect? An immigration professional/Campus France might be good options to ask.
Hi, the video title says '5 years'. I also explained the requirements in the video, all of which you can't meet immediately after masters. You should try watching the video.
I wish! No I'm not a citizen yet. I've only been in the country for a year so I don't meet the requirement per time spent and even language ability yet.
The idea differs from person to person, and no matter on which divide one stands, their wants are valid. People can choose to return to their countries or not, just as they can choose to apply the acquired knowledge in different ways too.
@@ChezDeks I agree. However immigration is becoming increasingly difficult in France ( and in Europe in general). Whatever the president, they will have to harden the laws because more than half the country wants it that way. Make sure you share the political aspect of it, so that they are fully prepared. I have had friends from abroad who had a real shock finding out about the views on immigration in France, in the past years. Furthermore, I find it so sad that people who obtain a qualitative education, do not do more for their own countries. There is a lot to be done in some. But whatever the decision, I think your channel is very informative. Well done!
@@kath6720 I agree, my view is that immigration has always been more difficult in Europe than maybe the UK or North America. I also agree about governments hardening immigration laws going forward; I expect people (adults) to do their own research after finding information about things because there are always different sides to things. On education, yes it is sad; I know people who went to study abroad to do better in their countries and returned to find that it also wasn't that clear cut - c'est tres complique! There are always different aspects to many of these things - and yes, mass migration is not the solution but sometimes, I don't even blame people. Maybe I'd do a video on this sometime. Thank you so much for your contribution, hope to see you more around here!
Hello Akshat, I cannot verify this information. The confirmed info from the government website is what I shared in the video (links in the description box) and it makes no distinction between the schools.
Hello! Yes, that's correct. Masters students are only allowed to come to school alone, not with family. There is only an exemption for some PhD students.
If I study a master’s degree in France and then find a job and convert a student visa to permanent residence after two years, can I obtain citizenship and a passport??? And thanks
Hello, please watch the video again. I explained the requirements and process in the video you commented on. Also France doesn't give 'permanent residency', what you get is a renewable work permit.
Love this video! I've just got an admission and I'd love to have a conversation with you before I make a decision. Please may I have your email address?
So informative, easy info to digest. Thank you!!

Thanks Jo Jo! This is actually great to know so you don't have to renew annually on a permanent contract. Even better!
I'm living 9 years in Germany but I don't have German citizenship now I think France was better for me
How come? I thought German citizenship was the easiest to get

Yes, you absolutely can if you obtain a French masters degree and pay taxes for at least 3 years.

Ms Deks I see you!!! ❤
Farouk!!! Hey!
Wait I thought the law says after. You can apply for citizenship after two years of post graduate education
The description box of this video has links to the French government website that lists the requirements. Please verify for yourself.
I think I’m coming to France and your blouse is beautiful. 7-9 months 😳😳😳😳😳.
Aha! Please do, I'll be happy to have you. Thank you!! See, it takes foreverrrr...
@@ChezDeks madam please are you on WhatsApp i want to ask you question

Hi Deks, great works........
In order to confirm right.......
Does 2yrs Masters Study count from the 5yrs you are talking about?
Thanks
Yes, because you'll be living in the country whilst you're in school.
Thanks Deks

Hi, the video title says '5 years'. I also explained the requirements in the video, all of which you can't meet immediately after masters. You should try watching the video.
Are you now a French citizen? I've often wondered how Nigerian's fare in France. I'm in America btw
I wish! No I'm not a citizen yet. I've only been in the country for a year so I don't meet the requirement per time spent and even language ability yet.
Why have you wondered that? How have you been faring? Very ignorant question.
Isn’t the idea to get a degree from a great education system and get back home to help the country with the new acquired knowledge?
The idea differs from person to person, and no matter on which divide one stands, their wants are valid. People can choose to return to their countries or not, just as they can choose to apply the acquired knowledge in different ways too.

I heard that if you graduate from "Grand Ecole" then you can apply for French citizenship in 3 years or lesser. Is that correct?
Hello Akshat, I cannot verify this information. The confirmed info from the government website is what I shared in the video (links in the description box) and it makes no distinction between the schools.
Thanks for this video pls I got an info that you can't travel to France as a Masters international student with your family pls how true is that?
Hello! Yes, that's correct. Masters students are only allowed to come to school alone, not with family. There is only an exemption for some PhD students.
How can I reach you pls
how it is possible
