Hello, you can only apply for APS when you have completed your course and actually have your certificate (signed by the jury). Hello, if he sends you the money into your account, no one will ask for the source as long as its in your account and you have access to it. France doesn't use gift deeds but if he is sponsoring you (beyond the 5000€) then there is a guarantor form that you'd get alongside other forms from Campus France and he would fill and sign that and attach proof of income or bank statements. This is from what I knew in 2021/22. To be sure what the current requirements are, you should reach out to Campus France in Lagos or Abuja depending on where you live and if you're applying from Nigeria. Hope this helps!

Hello, yes Nigerians can apply for APS. Normally, for a masters degree, you would get APS but I haven't heard of 9-month masters so to be sure, you'd have to confirm from your school if you'd be eligible. Hope this helps.

Your institution needs to be accredited and must have filed the necessary documents with the French government to enable their graduates apply for APS so I doubt that culinary schools will do this, because not even all universities do. To be 100% sure, I'd advice you reach out to Campus France in Nigeria and ask them.

Hello Daniel, yes a lot of them are really pricey. The place I wrote my test is a language school apparently but I don't know what their pricing is like. You can Google ELFE Paris, should lead you to their website. However I think it may be better if you're already in the country, some universities also offer French courses. If you aren't in France, you can explore Alliance Française or private tutors. Let me know if you have more questions.

Yes they can keep searching for jobs but they can't do any full time job until the new study permit (for the new course is done). 2. I doubt that anyone without prior fluency in French can attain C1/C2 in one year (because that's native fluency level) but let's assume they do, yes they can apply for the APS with their initial degree. Graduates of MSc or PhD in France can apply for the APS permit within 5 years after graduation and they also don't have to apply from within France so you can choose to go to another country and come back later.
