This 9-day Mediterranean cruise on Celebrity Reflection departed Barcelona to visit the ports of call of Marseilles, Villefranche (Nice), Pisa/Florence (Livorno), Genoa, Sicily, Naples, and Rome.
Celebrity Reflection is currently the fourth oldest ship in the Celebrity Cruises fleet of ships, debuting back in 2012. The Retreat on Celebrity Reflection features entry-level Sky Suites, Celebrity Suites, Royal Suites, and many more classes of suite staterooms. You do have the most thorough reviews on RUclips. Sailed on the Eclipse when it was new. They used to have a glass blowing demonstration on that ship. I’m sure it’s gone. This is a very easy ship to navigate and just relax. It is the final cruise I took my parents before my dad passed. Thanks for the memories…

Wife and I were on reflection in February, it is a beautiful ship. Curious as to why it’s your favorite? We’ve got our next one booked on the Ascent, are you comparing that ship?
Very nice tour and thank you. Reflection is a Solstice ship however they started doing things I don't like in it. The biggest thing is adding suites and taking away a part of the upper observation lounge. The next thing is the meeting space replacing the nightclub. Celebrity should find a way of making that nightclub more popular.
I've been trying to figure out what it is about this ship that appeals to me vs. the NCL Priva, Celebrity Edge class ships and now the Sun Princess. And I feel it is the color palette and details of the decor. I feel like the newest ship lack a certain variety of color palette and true mood lighting. And the darker woods are warmer and define spaces better. Deeper colors give more punch to a space rather than neutrals and paler colors so popular in the newest ships. The seating also seems more inviting in this ship. The overall ship is friendlier, not so antiseptic looking like the newer ships. It's not the new or the contemporary that bothers me, it's the lack of true coziness and charm that does. This ship has some coziness to it even though some spaces are large.
I see no need for a photo gallery so that should be turned into something else. And I still think more dance floors rather than the loud music in the central areas would be nice. Like, I feel the martini bar should have a combo, a duo or trio doing styles from the 30s to 90s as opposed to whatever is going on in the foyer spilling up to that area. The martini bar is so chic. I love the alcove sitting areas on this class of ship.
Also, please keep in mind, Celebrity doesn't have "atria" or atriums. They have foyers. I do think the Celebrity foyer is more like a home foyer, a smaller and different feel to other ship's atriums. I call the 2 deck smaller foyer a secondary foyer. This was first used in the Galaxy and Mercury and IMO, was much better on those ships.

Great video. Perfect if can at beginning tell your audience the country and year of built, tonnage, capacity and passenger ratio, current dock and route, classes of suite and price. These are crucial info your audience is eager to know too! Or what is improvement and unique about the ship, as compared to other Celebrity vessels.
Wish you would do a review of the buffet. You do a really thorough job on the tour.
I enjoyed seeing the library. I'm looking forward to my next NCL because they have an actual library, unlike my experience on RCI.

Whoa Great comprehensive tour. Nice refurb. How many steps did you put in doing that? How many laps for a mile up on 15. Really enjoyed!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed this. Very similar to the Silhouette, but also quite different. I actually think I prefer the Silhouette. The layout had been tried and tested on previous ships, but then tweaked and improved. This seems like they didn't know how to fill the extra spaces theyd created with the extra deck. Silhouette's layout was more coherent. For example, the Apple place and the Internet help were both together. Both have too much space given over to that scam "art" you can buy, however. It's a shame they stopped building this class of ship. I much prefer the regular stateroom + actual verandah than the infinite verandah. But clearly they know what sells... and who (not) to sell it to, i.e. solo travellers.
Another great video, Zach! We're happy to see you on Celebrity again. Hopeuflly Celebiity's Marketing doesn't come out with more "bone-headed" revenue-grabs / reverses some of their "nickel-and-dime" roll-outs... Really hoping Celebirty doesn't lose you ...or us... We're really hoping our march toward Elite Plus ((43 future nights booked, mostly Aquaclass) isn't in vain.

This ship is the same as the Equinox. After having cruised on three Edge-class ships with the smaller MDR's, I found the huge MDR on the Equinox to be very chaotic and particularly noisy. I guess I've become used to those smaller, more intimate MDR's on Edge-class ships.

Hi Zach, great video,but surprised to see you on a Celebrity ship so soon. I heard they had backpedaled on raising the single cruiser supplement. What was your experience? We are heading to Italy in May for The Best of Italy and Croatia on the Constellation. Hoping to get it in before the heat sets in.

In the middle of the day on a port day (Naples). I usually try to do my tours while in port so there aren’t many people around.
@@ZachtheTravelingMan Ahh...I never do mine in port as we always get off the ship. I'm normally walking around at 6am and I feel like it's still busier than what you found. Nice job with it!
