This band is much loved in the metalcore scene. Their old music is very psychedelic heavy metalcore and then in recent years they’ve switched to a techno/electronic groove metal fusion as you just heard. This is the only song with rapping in it, but I hope you check out more because they’ve got some really cool stuff going on all throughout their whole discography.
On my first listen I was the same as you, where I wasn’t a huge fan of the first verse but changed my mind following the chorus. I definitely think they have other songs that you would prefer, maybe check out Bloodline

Northlane is for sure on my top 10 list of all time, this track actually feels like rap metal
