It's always exciting to see someone new becoming a fan of Ghost. They do use a lot of satanic imagery and references, especially the farther you go back in the discography, but it's not serious satanism. Tobias uses it to criticize specifically Catholicism and all the horrible things done in the name of religion.
From what i heard, Ghost isn‘t satanic in the religious kinda way but more in the pop-culture kinda way meaning it stands for resistance and whatnot though Tobias Forge is kind of opposed to the Catholic church because of past experiences
Kaisarion... now theres a song!! It Perfectly highlights how Tobias Forge feels about Catholicism, there is a reference to 'Hypatia' in the lyrics, an amazing female greek philosopher and super woman who was murdered horribly in the name of religion.... It was the day I discovered that track that I fell head over heels in permanent love with Ghost! (@RockdaRiff please please notice this and google Hypatia, you'll understand a little bit more about Ghost... I hope!)
Tobias looks at the devil as fun , daring to take on the world & all that .... Ghost are so good & im spewing that I didn't listen to them until 2 years ago . Delve in more mate its so good
I can't help but feel like this music video pays homage to the band Therion, because their album art was full of the same level of quality as the CG here
I wouldn’t worry about it being “satanic” in a traditional sense. All of the stuff is for show, it’s all shock. Real (modern) satanists don’t even believe in the devil, luciferians do. So don’t worry abt it dude, 🤘🏻.
FYI, your reaction doesn't seem to show up in the general "ghost reaction" RUclips search which will limit views. I think part of that is the | you've inserted in the title which doesn't have a space next to it.
Cradle of Filth nailed it with marketing... A T-shirt with 4 words... "Jesus is a C**T" It was instantly banned and gained the title of most offensive shirt ever... It did however get their name blazoned across every newspaper and spoken about on TV for what seemed like forever 🤣🤣🤘🏻🤘🏻
All the faces are meant to be the devil has many faces and the big thing is the different faces is member of the band including Tobias . And some member of other band who are good friends with Tobias . And yes there not satanists it all image my friend it’s much like when Kiss came out and yes Ghost is satanic just not anyone in the band . But it’s a goofy let’s party kinda satanic Tobias is an 80’s kid he grew up watching Star Wars reading comic books watch cartoons 80’s horror action comedy ect and above all! the greatness of 80’s music he is molding every he loves into ghost and music he’s a big kid at heart . Which a lot of us who grew up in that time really are . That’s why everything that was. 80’s is huge . Look at how huge the marvel films are look at stranger things the 80’s is massive here in 2022
They aren't truly "satanic" they do what they do as a parody of the Christian church. They're like a gospel band except a gospel band for Satan. They're actually just atheist or agnostic. Tobias is not religious. But he does this satanic thing because he can be theatrical and he can mess with the evangelical christians who get scared of that kind of imagery and stuff. The reason they're not like extremely metal or death metal sounding and more melodic is to trick christians into listening without knowing at first that what they're saying is ya know "evil" it's all theatrical parody/satire callout of evangelical/very very strict religious Christianity types of churches/people. You know the judgemental hypocrites and extremist types. The Christian nationalist types.
This song refers to 2 Corinthians 11:14 Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. I'm a Christian and I look at listening to dark music as I would reading the bible or a history book. We all know evil is everywhere it just depends on whether you want to deny or embrace it. I think Ghost is just having a good time poking fun at organized religion (Mostly the Catholic Church).
New ghost listeners : “how is every song so catchy”
Ghost fans standing there nodding their head up and down

Yes, every Ghost song is "catchy." Even their darker more doom metal songs are catchy. Even their one death metalish song (Mummy Dust) is catchy.
Call me little Sunshine is a reference to Alister Crowley quoting “The Beast 666 only means Sunlight. You can call me little sunshine”
It's a must to watch all of their episodes from the Ministry. They are all hilarious.

"He is " is my fav of theirs
It's time for Square Hammer. If you are into Prog Instrumentals Ghost has a few to check out.
Yes! Absolution and Majesty are perfect examples of their prog songwriting. Kaisarion too!
Tobias said in an interview that " Ghost" is satanic but no one in the band is.
Top 3 song of the year for me 🤟 And i listen to a lot of music 👻 TX for the react from Québec Canada 🇲🇶🇨🇦
Kaisarion next ? Great you are enjoying them

I saw myself a bit concerning that "fuckn nat" situation. Cried with the "trap" suggestion. HAIL GHOST!!

Ghost: Square Hammer
Think KISS or Alice Cooper! Fun!
Cradle of Filth nailed it with marketing...

They're like Alice Cooper. It's all for show. They're not actually Satanists at all. :}
They also have a good Cover of Dance Macabre
The song "twenties", by Ghost too, will blow your mind. It's so weird but it's so fuckin good
A Satanist is just someone who opposes organized religion. More often than not a satanist is atheistic. No gods no rulers

Not sure about their reason to not be more metal ...never heard Tobias say it was to trick christians. Perhaps I haven't seen that yet?
