my 18 year old mind doesn't have the strength to listen to this without paralyzing and drinking a neat glass of whiskey ❤🤞🏼
wonderful‼️
Coltrane on this number, takes me to places I don’t believe are on this earth!
What an intoxicating nostalgia it provides!
Man, could he ever play the hell out of a ballad. This could turn a stone in the gutter into a romantic.
I don't understand ... ( but I only speak French ! ;)

His tone is the spirit of his art... it is the pages on which the gospel of John rest.
This song originally was a Birthday song that you would 'plug' in any name. It just happened to be played at Nancy Sinatra's birthday and Frank liked it. It was not written for Nancy Sinatra.
'Yes, Jimmy Van Heusen music & Phil Silvers lyrics
Too right
Frank's daughters name was Nancy also..but John's tone and patience are empathic... the gospel of John...
Class!❤
What's so amazing is to hear the spirit of John come through so striking clear! The Gospel of John
This song is dedicated to Nancy Sinatra

What can you add? Poetry in motion.
D'une grande beauté , quand l'amour devient souffle et rien d'autre . Eternellement merci au grand John Coltrane,
This DID IT for me, he kills on ballads. I saw kids playing around on a video in 1939, and heard this, wow !
Frank would approve.
Definitely.
Perfeito!
Believe me, I've got a case...

Beautiful!!! Waaay to much plate reverb muddied up his great sound but... yet another gem from the discography of 'Trane and a testament to his ballad playing. Love this tune!!!
Even with the recording flaws that tone and attack are undeniable... the gospel of John
Here's the daily Happy Valentine's Day.
Some reason this movie brings me to Harlem
