- Hallo hier bin ich wieder,dieses mal mit dem tollen und seltenen Teac R-919X Kassettendeck. Es ist eines der wenigen Kassettendecks die sowohl mit drei Köpfen bestückt sind als auch Autoreverse haben. Genau genommen hat dieses sogar vier Köpfe weil es zwei Löschköpfe hat und eine drehbare Doppelkopfkombination bestehend aus einem Aufnahme- und einem Wiedergabekopf. Ich hoffe das Video gefällt euch.
Das Kassettendeck wird bald zum Verkauf angeboten. Die Musik kommt von KOTO

Hello, here I am again, this time with the great and rare Teac R-919x cassette deck. It is one of the few cassette decks which are equipped with three heads and have also autoreverse. Actually this even has four heads because it has two erase heads and a rotatable double-head combination consisting of a recording and a playback head, I hope you like the video.

This cassette deck has one of the best rotary heads, it doesn't misalign easily and ofcourse it sounds very good.
NAAC would make sense in rotary heads to keep head alignment compensated.

thats the nicest looking tape deck ive ever seen, do you currently use DBX?
Maxell XL II 90 Type II chrome compact cassette tape has a very strong sharp and clean sound. I recorded music from Maxell XL II 90 Type II tape unto another Maxell XL II 90 Type II tape and the copy tape sounded even louder and sharper than the source tape. I would randomly play it in my car, and most people complained that it played way too loud and the very sharp highs and tweeters sounded way too sharp, that it was hurting their ears. They couldn't believe it, that it was an actual magnetic compact cassette tape playing. When you insert good quality type II or Type IV compact cassette tape, recorded on studio quality tape deck into my automobile's stereo system, loud, clean, sharp and aggressive sound will be coming out of my speakers, louder and sharper than CD! You just have to have a good ear and good system to make tapes sound amazing!

Usually Auto Reverse is a must have if its going to be a mid level deck and up..
What ive noticed, Auto reverse is available just above the entry models on all brands. so yeah, high sophistication deck better have auto reverse! lol
What I've noticed though is that many autoreverse decks do not perform equally well in both directions (Azimuth misaligned problems). I wonder how this Teac does in that respect.
+olaniyi570 You have to remove front door panel and adjust azimuth manually. Dolby S decks have a kind of Golden standard azimuth
Autoreverse was on nearly every highend walkman or double cassette recorder. The augmentation of vibrating parts, azimuth inconsistencies and incompatibility with double capstan mechanism were prohibiting arguments for Autoreverse in high end single tape decks. exotically Nakamichi made an exception in one of its expensive decks
Makes sense. Thats cool. In the 80's, Super cars did not have power windows or in some cases air conditioning. NOICE. I want a deck without auto-reverse now.

Interessant man hört die Dynamik von der Quelle das Deck bringt diese Dynamik obwohl es sehr gut geht nicht zusammen. Das hört man sogar auf diesem mit Verlust behafteten MP3/4 Audiostream. Höre einmal ganz genau auf die Hohen Töne da kannst Du das ganz genau heraushören wie Steilflankig (harter Klang) die sind. Im Gegensatz zur Aufnahme vom Deck.
Weiters kann man hören das der Klang ein wenig verwaschen klingt das fällt aber keinem auf wenn man vorher die Quelle nicht gehört hat denn das Ohr ist selbstadaptiv und man hört da fast keinen Unterschied. Aber trotzdem tolles Gerät und schönes Hobby ich bin ja auch Hifi begeistert.
Gute Komponenten bringen nicht nur den tollen Klang sondern entlarven auch die Fehler moderner Kompressionstechniken wie mp3

Analog... Not digital. The tape counter has a digital display though.

Дека красавица, единственное требуется регулировка положения контактов типа ленты. На видео видно как мигает индикатор metal хотя лента типа хром.

I noticed my deck when playing back a recording of clean vocal singing, it sounds wobbly like its underwater with a weird twang up and down effect. xD Guys voice is already high pitched, but when he sings low its clean on playback after recording. Any ideas?

I like how those TEAC deck played but I always though they were built kinda cheap.
The early TEAC stuff was really good build, the later stuff much cheaper and very average if not below average quality. Probably had a change in ownership.

How does it have 3 heads (tape monitoring) and auto-reverse? Wow!
It actually has 4 heads :D 2 Erase heads. the play/record is the one that does the "180" to do the other side of the tape, another Auto Reverse 3 head deck, the Nak Dragon actually has 6 heads, so 3 for each side of the tape :D impressive :D

Походу TEAC конкурентов нахлобучил.
Пользуюсь такой многие годы и очень радуюсь. Пишет и воспроизводит отлично. DBX это просто супер! Но не нравится мне одно: очень шумная перемотка. Ну прям кажется что дешевка перед тобой низкого класса. В остальном дека супер. Реверс и пульт дистанционный в разы повышают удобство пользования.

Можно! На авито недавно была в москве правда без реверса v970x, что и лучше. За 20ку продавали, упустил её ,схватили быстро, да ещё на 220 питание. Месяцем раньше за 15 неисправная стовольтовка была. А так аппарат конечно редкий.
Уровень зачем такой большой делать?
@WOLVERINE WOLVERINE да, уж... Когда-то случайно попала мне кассета, купил на барахолке, басф старый по-моему... Обычная, тип 1, а запись на ней была +4...6 и не искажала, а на таком уровне не на всякий хром запишешь... Видимо писали на чём-то модном...

No matter what you do, you first need to fix your leaf switches for the detection of the tape types, or you will end up with bad recordings, BIAS changing from Type 2 to type 4. Don't you notice how the detected tape type fluctuates all the time between Type II and Type IV?
Clean the leaf switches contacts and you should be fine. Also, when calibrating, the first red section needs to be lit. not the last white section as you did.
