With nerfs? Most of the time u don’t have time to shot all 5 shots. R is hitting less, and with more mobile champs good luck hitting all 7. They changed his kit to be even more skilful giving higher skill cap. For 99% of the players is HUGE nerf, for 1% OTP masters I wouldn’t call it buff.
I already play him mid beforehand, so this is going to be great when I play him again

It will be tricky to adjust to a new passive. To get the most mana, you have to auto the wave before you use your Q to clear it. Killing all 6 minions will reset it and you can get a second proc off the cannon
At most points you won't kill melee minions without q w right?
@@longingsoul1 Probably not, but it might open up Xerath to try to abuse minion demat on the front line, I'm not sure if that's necessary though.
@@Poshriel Does his passive proc at full mana? If not it might just be worth it to leave fountain with a little less in the tank than usual to zap a minion then kill the wave.
@@longingsoul1 Why would that ever be better lol, just leave with full mana. The passive gives nothing but mana so wasting it before the wave is pointless cause you can simply use it after the wave.
i always auto'd first anyways that way it goes on cd and will be up sooner, so feels like a straight buff for my playstyle lol

24:57 The first shot triggered the comet, and the second shot landed in the same time as comet and the numbers combined, so 1200 was from last shot + comet
I also think ludens echo proccd right then as well. So it was comet+ludens +last shot
with this new passive i think you should constanly use it before clearing the wave, since the cooldown gonna be reset after you clear the wave
It was so frustrating seeing Zwag not hitting the minions BEFORE killing them. You're just missing out on precious mana.

I think you do get multiple stacks if you hit multiple people with one shot. The wording is bonus damage per champion hit, not bonus damage per shot hit, so multiple champions means multiple hits. At least that's what sounds intuitive. Plus it rewards players who find ultis that actually hit multiple champions, which is pretty hard.
He is so good with this champion maybe he shoud main him and mske another chanel for him as well.

Xerath's passive is my favorite of all the champs, and this made it even more so. simple mechanically, but a meaty enough impact that it affects your rhythm.
As a Xerath main because of you, the best tip I can give people against players that use the ult well is "the S key on your keyboard."

24:57 Luden's came up for that shot, plus Comet landed at the exact same time, on top of the scaling dmg per landed shot. That gave you a 1.2k dmg stack. This is at 3 items + max stack Dark Seal, with Absolute Focus on and Gathering at the 20 min mark, which I believe off the top of my head is 24AP? Yeah, that's kind of absurd, assuming you actually land your R shots of course.
I wonder if building horizon is now a better item on him since the lil bit of cdr would be nice for more ults and the damage amp woild stack well with everything due ti his mega range. Plus the reveal would be nice for blind shotting.
Can you try the „new“ nilah build?Since the patch it has gotten more popular and it is very strong especially when you get ahead early. It consists of building a dirk and a zeal first, then building the zeal into galeforce, then collector and then ldr and the rest is situational. You hit your power spike at those 3 items and you can oneshot the whole team with one ult combo if you are a bit fed. Would really love you to try it!❤

you should have build horizon focus, with the ult increase, it should be absolutely terrifiying
@zwag, notes said "[NEW] Increases by 20-30 + 5% AP PER CHAMP HIT" Get your squad in custom gamel and see how many of them can stand in his circle level 16. Would be interesting to see that hit 3+ enemy champs per shot and have final shot do crazy amounts for the multiple champs hit
If you hit multiple champions with one hit, with the language of the tooltip, does it mean that it'll increase twice with that one shot?
I also I see Arcane comet damage is applied immediately now- maybe the 1.2k hit you were confused about was Mandate + Arcane comet + the ult (I have no idea if whoever had mandate was actually there)
You can also hear his ludens echo procc on that 1.2k hit

It's about time the #1 Xerath got some buffs & these look fun & rewarding but tbh, I was also expecting some sort of change to the E stun, without outside peel we're still the same glass cannon so maybe next patch gang.
What do you think about halving the damage and increasing the number of shots to 9

I was hoping the changes would include something for his w. a cleanse if it lands on xerath would be great. it fits lore (unbound), it is skill dependant as you have to cast before a stun hits, but also means damage is not hitting the enemy so its a trade off if used that way.
The 1.2k was from ludens echo that hit on the same frame
Day 6 of asking for a Tank Anivia video. The build consists of stacking tons of HP with Grasp + Heartsteel. Obviously you'll do less damage, but the build is really satisfying. You can frontline and provide a lot of CC. Also, when you die, the HP transfers to the egg, creating a 4k+ HP distraction, while your teammates finish the opponents.
the shitty part about this rework is that you know a nerf is already in the works
Do you think Xer (not even going to attempt spelling) might swap to bot lane instead of support? There he'll still get Buddy help and he can take minions.

You could go ability haste teemo my brother pointed it out, I tried it in aram I did pretty good and did a lot of damage also tried it in a regular game it was ok but my adc left lane. Idk if you will have the luck that I do but it would me the world to see this video and know that me and my brother were apart of it!

it says "for each champion hit" not every blast that hits a champion, does that mean that hitting multiple dudes with the same charge gives you even more damage?

Looks like somebody didn't read patch notes.
"Buff his E because he can't peel" is the kind of insane mindset that results in broken champs. Champions have weaknesses for a reason. And he still has a stun anyway, which you use to stop ganks, which is obviously peel. Getting punished for an artillery mage's positioning isn't a wild concept.
The ult damage ramps 5 times, you can see in the buffs the ult icon with 5 hits

Ahri is a paid actor for all of Zwag's crazy shots which we see as normal now, just cos its Zwag

I only thin the bad part of this is now more then ever if this goes live its going to be abused by scripts I remember seeing one where it would know if you pressed B to back and it ult you even in fog of war if you were in range and it would wait for the last sec it could for it to land and not give you your back as most players at that point would open up the shop and wouldn't even see the ult coming.

i wonder if the increase of ult dmg is caped at 1 per shoot or if you can have multiple increase if you land 1 on multiple champion
It sounds like a single target ramping DMG, it refreshes once we switch target.
@@charly7937 It's not. He did 759 damage to Ahri when it's supposed to deal 540 if it does refresh. (24:55).
It does get multiple stacks if you hit multiple enemies with a single hit. At 24:45 , he got the damage buff twice because he hit both Akali and Alistar from his first ult hit.

It definitely makes Xerath stronger, but these aren't the changes Xerath needed. He needed anything making him viable against Tanks/Bruiser. People building one MR item making Xerath as useful as a cannon minion.
But he shouldn't be viable against thanks... Xerath is an artillery mage, an assassin. It's like asking for zed to work against tanks. You can build Botrk and similar items and you can build lyandri's on xerath. But it shouldn't work fine. it can be an option but never be a good pick against them.
@@fejipe Really bad example, if you itemize Zed to kill tanks, with eclipse, cleaver, grudge he easily one taps full tanks. Whereas Xerath if you build every mpen item + Liandrys still don’t do shit against tanks and BRUISERS. Other mages can do heavy dmg to tanks like Syndra having the exact same role as Xerath
@@Shadhun98 he hardly can onetap tanks but as u say I guess. He would get CCed cause he is not designed to fight a CC, with HP and armor enemy in front lane. Xerath can keep attacking but has no habilities which scale with % to damage them. And MR is much stronger than armor, but it is intended to be that way.
And about syndra, she can output higher damage than xerath, but she was a much shorter range, and higher CDs (excluding Q) and also aínda after scaling has a % execute threshold.
Xerath has the biggest range out of any other champion and does ridiculous damage (if aim is perfect). The champion obviously need some counterplay or he would be broken.
