    Nice Bro
Can you explain besides the weight why you did buy the 701 over the 501 please

I bought the 501 instead of the 701 because I actually owned a 690 before. I am not a fan of riding roads and gravel roads, only if I need to, to get to the dirt. 701/690 in my opinion are good for a mix of both, but if you like dirt only, the lower weight of the 501 makes it more fun. Also easier to maintain a 501.

Also interested you mentioned your equipment (helmet etc) was covered by insurance. Can I ask who thats with I can't find anything for insurance that covers that stuff overall

Yep, loving the bashplate, needs a bit of angle grinding to allow for the oil filter to be changed without taking the bashplate off. I'm with AAMI and used to be with RACV, both cover gear. First mods would be better bashplate, proper enduro tyres and suspension re worked for your weight. Maybe change sprockets too, if doing single trail. Don't need top end unless desert riding. Maybe upgrade thr headlamp bulb to, if you plan on riding late into the day.
